Thats the thing about news: anything you see in the news is stuff that doesn’t happen. If it happens all the time, or even just reasonably frequently, it’s just by definition not news, and nobody is going to talk about it, seek it out, or pay any attention to it.
The number of people who died was newsworthy. The fact people have become so desensitized to migrant deaths is just more reason to cover it.
I agree but surely we can talk about that without desensitizing ourselves to another group of people. Fuck celebrating someone else's suffering
