How to subscribe to community on a different server?

I’m trying to add a subscription here (my account at lemmy.world) too !humor@beehaw.org. Can’t figure out how to do it. Can someone please explain?

Try typing just hu or into the search function. Lemmy.world and beehaw should be fully federated so you shouldn't have to search the complete path

Beehaw is no longer federated with Lemmy.world

Yeah my comment didn't age well. Lol.

I ended up spinning up a small instance so I can federate with both
