But the fact that this is Cannon significantly increases the chances that this request will be granted as she already has a significant history of going out of her way to accommodate Trump and even saying he deserves special treatment because of who he is.
Also, the delay would benefit Trump more significantly than other defendants with his campaign and potentially becoming president or being pardoned by the republican opponent if they win.
