You can subscribe on the app the same way as if they were on lemmy.world. When you search in the app, it shows results from all across the fediverse
So I click the link. It opens in a webview. I see @stephenfry@mastodonapp.uk there so copy it. I go back out of the webview so I can see my search button. I paste that link in there. "This sub has no posts...retry"
Am I doing it wrong? Or is this just a godawful UX?
I don't think Lemmy search works for anything but communities. You're trying to use the search to look for a user profile.
It's also a mastodon account, which might not be supported by Lemmy apps?
