I'm guessing you're French based on your instance. I had a friend many moons ago that worked at a processing plant where they packaged the William Saurin stuff (cassoulet, etc). At some point during the batch process once they reached the quota for the branded batch, they literally just switched the label roll to the Lidl ones and kept going with the exact same food.

Of course there's no way to really know which products are like this and which are made with nasty cheap ingredients.

You know damn well the very first thing you'll do is press it.

Cute little dictator things.

I saw a suggestion to go put a "join Lemmy" banner on there, is it happening?

Guess I'm post-racism because my first thought was "mosquitoes".

You're taking about wow. That's like telling a junkie not to buy their next fix.

Yes please if you're going to do this be responsible and use a real skeleton.

Just switched yesterday, was way easier than I thought it would be. I'm converted on all my devices, all my stuff has been synced from Chrome in a few clicks. Just do it people.

It took me until the tomato to be certain of what was happening, but it's the finger in the soup that really pissed me off.

The final destination scene was one thing but do you all remember that real video where it was I think a brick that just obliterates one of the occupants, you don't see much but you hear the reaction from the other passenger and it fucking haunts you for years.

The standards in America are fucking crazy. "Yeah bro my cousin was buying some weed, next thing you know 4 people shot dead, but that shouldn't count" lmao.

I guess if it's a situation where multiple enemies are in sight everyone would focus on the cybertruck so you'd be even more targeted than normal (I have no idea how to play Fortnite).

It's what matrix would've been if the studios didn't think people would too dumb to get it, so we ended with the nonsense about batteries.

The people signing up for this suffer from serious illness and probably doing it out of desperation, not some adoration for musk.

In my village in the Netherlands bat roosts are installed in a bunch of places, they also mandate that houses have little box things on their side for them. Never seen a single bat lmao, but in the old family house in France there's a bunch in the attic.

I don't know why but my brain went the direction of "it's harder to hide a random boner in shorts" but don't ask me why my brain is fucked that way.

All of these middle-men platforms are out of control. They're running a website with listing cards, why would that make them huge multinational companies. Listen I get that with some growth they need to make some amount of money and have a team, but booking.com was trying to open a 5000 people campus in Amsterdam, why the fuck is that needed.

At the end of the day the actual business is between the hotel and the customer, these guys should be making bare cents on these transactions at most.

I want to know what it says under 30%.

-> Seatbelt

-> Phone in holder + plug

-> Vape out + plug

-> Select destination in GPS

-> Stare into the void and contemplate the utter futility of existence

-> Select Music or podcast

-> Prepare any drinks or snacks for the trip

-> Drive off

That sounds very reasonable, I thought they wanted them to retrofit them on phones that were already sold!

Fuck the other kids for taking and sharing videos, people suck.

Just always check nutrition info, some of these that are presented as healthy are really not that great. In general, cereals are pure carbs pretty much so should limit the quantity to what you need in carbs, but they can also have a lot of fiber and be fairly efficient in terms of satiety to calorie ratio, I recently switched back to a small bowl in the morning for breakfast.

Yeah that's been shopped to hell and back.

Depending on your requirements (e.g. are you planning on camping in hardcore places or just regular spots in fair weather), you could get not only the tent but all the rest of the camping gear as well for that price.

I had to stop trying to engage in any political discussion online because it's so dominated by Americans and trying to talk some sense into them is like taking to an antagonistic, raging, gun-toting brick wall. I just got frustrated and it never goes anywhere, they're incapable of seeing past their blue Vs red and biased viewpoints.

Honestly even if the place is totally fine and treats the kids well, they're teens doing silly teen things, slap on the wrist at most...

It's not perfect by any means, but I'm glad to have it and can't think of any other political organisation doing more "good".

It's legit not bad. I'm pretty sure I read green texts worse than this.

Do you have a moment to talk about our penguin lord and saviour?

After checking your account I'm thoroughly confused. Either this is a novelty account that takes itself really, really seriously, or you're the actual actress, but that just doesn't compute.

Not in the Netherlands, there it's all calculated for you and you just do the checking. If you have a more complicated situation like self employment or other stuff you may want to hire an accountant that will not only double check but also make sure you get the best outcome by doing some strange wizardry but for most people it's literally just go online, check the salary numbers etc, click okay and get some cash back to your account.

I think that's pretty natural? If you weren't getting any of the movie there'd be no points and we'd just read the subs on a kindle or something.

I think I'd rather the shopped version beating me with a stick, at least he's being pleasant about it.

Yeah but Magento was like 10% cheaper so think of the profits! That or it's some backdoor crap like the CEOs are cousin or whatever.

No no that's still accurate, it's just that the cigarettes are imported now.

Food, diapers, etc. If they're shoplifting a luxury lipstick or whatever while getting in their brand new SUV, that's different...

USA has truly gone mad.

I'm happy to help provide answers on my fields of interests but they are pretty much dead on Lemmy for now, it's a chicken and egg thing.

It doesn't help that because we don't really have good algorithms, my feed is dominated by generalist topics, memes, news and tech stuff. So even if I subscribe to smaller communities, if I don't intentionally go visit them they're never in my feed.

We need to better surface posts from smaller communities by having a weighted algorithm so that your feed is a mix of big and small communities.
