“Must live in the middle of nowhere. Must have a vehicle you will not be paid to maintain. Must provide your own medical insurance so we don’t have to provide it legally. Must give us $450 to start. Must be cool with making minimum wage for a minimum of 3 months. Probably forever. Good luck paying for rent, increased gas and maintenance on your car, and your own medical on minimum wage. I hope you die. Welcome to the family.”

Seriously I’ve said it before if you’ve backed legislation found to be blatantly unconstitutional you should be removed from office.

Complaining about it having funding.... AAA.... lol. Thats the fucking point of AAA. Big fucking budget.

So, the first amendment gives you the right to free speech, and yet inciting a riot or other dangerous forms of speech are still not protected.

Arms does not mean guns. It just means weapons and/or armor. Dangerous things can and should be protected. Not all weapons need be for the public, as I’m pretty sure no one would be okay with any civilian having their own nuke stockpile. I don’t see why we can’t dial it back a bit more to try and reduce access to guns when we’ve continually seen how much destruction they can cause.

In rejecting the bill, Newsom noted that the state's unemployment trust fund is already nearing $20 billion in debt.

"Now is not the time to increase costs or incur this sizable debt," he wrote in a message explaining his veto.

Yup makes sense. The title could mention this at all. Knew there had to be some reason, because it’s stupid to do that with him posturing for president in the next run. I’d rather him have vetoed it and said if you want this passed then it needs to include further funding for the unemployment fund.

Hm weird chromium announces update to stop allowing ad blockers and suddenly no one allows FF to work in their website.

Meanwhile, people who play Xcom refuse to press the button.

I mean, they’ve got like 75 smoking guns to choose from so they should be okay. They dude openly admits to targeting their ass.

It’s not “here to stay” it’s a feature that is used or not used depending on the level of realness wanted. Some are fine with hand waving away encumbrance, some are not.

If you’re playing a walking simulator, it is kinda part of the immersion.

If you’re running around killing every Greek god under the Sun, but suddenly you pick up your 7th weapon that’s just chains with something at the end of it, and BOOM you can’t move anymore cuz your too heavy, then it’s getting in the way. Instead of implementing encumbrance they just, limit you to 6 weapons and tada, they could explain it as “it’s too much weight” but they won’t give you the option for it to happen as slowing you down would kill the pace and feel of the game.

Baldurs gate is a DND based CRPG and Starfield is a loadscreenwalking simulator. Of course they have encumbrance.

So they walked back the part where they would’ve been sued anyways because it was already in their contract that they couldn’t retroactively charge you unless you renewed/updated. They of course changed it for this update.

“Oops you caught us doing something illegal and bad so we’ll still do the bad part, but we are sooo sorry you caught us trying to do something against our contracts, so I guess we’ll remove that part. See how sorry and humbled we are? Now give us your money.”

I mean, much worse than the title implies: Arizona Supreme Court removes a law passed 2 years ago in order to reinstate an abortion ban law from before Arizona was even a state, to which the only exception is when absolutely necessary to save the life of the mother. (Which we’ve seen from Texas mean basically won’t happen even if it is medically suggested by multiple doctors.)

The mental image of that really got me thanks.

Oh I fully understand a smaller company having a website that says “some animations may not work with your browser” when it’s obviously easier to just do chromium as that covers almost every browser, but fully disabling the entire website when it works just fine as long as you tell Firefox to say it’s chrome is a different story.

I uh, don’t think I want to see that thanks.

From what I remember from doing that math it costs something like 34¢ extra for a Big Mac to double labor costs from $15/hr to $30/hr.

Increases in price are not due to increased costs they’re due to being able to get away with it. Forcing poor people to continue being poor and still letting prices raise is fucking dumb. Poor people getting more money is very good for the economy as they don’t have enough money to not have to spend it all, so giving them more means more being spent.

I mean... sure if you only play games that have that same feeling?

Like oh no BG3 is just elves & Brittania... Duh?

So play WotR and at least go to the Abyss?

Or play any game based not on Tolkien lore? There's a ton of games based on different mythologies: Raji, Prince of Persia, Tribes of Midgard, Hades, Wo Long, etc.

Or just play games set in just completely different worlds? Pyre/Transistor/Bastion are all interesting worlds. Remnant I/II is a neat concept. etc. More playful stuff like Cuphead/Death's Door, etc.

Or look at some MMO's if you want larger worlds with different influence? Guild Wars 2 is pretty decent as far as a good variety with its world/races for example, even if its still similar to a generic fantasy setting.

cybertwang Lost my kids, lost my wife, lost 40 billion dollars, and there goes my life. My rocket crashed, everyone knows I’m an ass, my truck got towed, and I’ve got no class.

Me: wow most of these not surprising but yeah they’re fucked.

Against the pope because communism is against scriptures: fucking lol what.

Because our phone regulations are absolute shit now and thus it’s much easier to hide this shit with everything now.

“Hey I know you found it unconstitutional but can I still apply it to everywhere that hasn’t explicitly sued us over it?”

Finally, a true hero defending the poor housing market that is doing so poorly….

Very obviously not 32, doesn’t even look 18, but sure I suppose it could be. But is this 32 year old man he supposedly is even real? Is there a social he gave for a 32 year old? Or he just say “yeah I’m 32.” And they’re like “cool deniable enough for me!”

Ah right. No money. Living on a paltry 3x the national minimum wage salary for a year…. As the budget for every month. Which he still blew past 3x as much.

“For the children” “to restore parental rights” ahh, right so you mean AGAINST the children. Easy mistake to make.

Damages to their reputation as a professional? Which would lead to loss in viewers, which would lead to loss in advertising revenue, which can be a LOT of money.

Right I was like… what relations? They’ve been fighting for years.

Fucking lol. Good thing we don’t subsidize ANYTHING AT ALL and never export anything either. Boy. You’d have to be EVIL to want your country to have AFFORDABLE CARS. What’s next, AFFORDABLE HOUSING?

It’s the regulations that don’t exist when we’ve got new technology that needs to be regulated that are the problem. And sorry, I don’t have a list of every telephone regulation on me to go through and tell you which ones, nor the time to do so.

More about size. We play shit on screens WAY bigger than we used to back then. That image is just an icon. not meant to be that large or on a computer monitor that close to your face. CRT can help it look less bad when that big and that close, but can also remove detail when small and far.

Mostly, salt adjusts flavor profiles, and water is supposed to taste like nothing so adjusting that makes brain upset.

Trying to undo the removal of net neutrality or the removal of environmental protections are VERY different from trying to undo the affordable care act or undoing roe v wade.

If you can’t see the difference then lol.

I’d like to make it clear that while it is often the case that schools may misinterpret or take steps to be extra cautious as to not get in trouble with the law, these parts are fully spelled out pretty much exactly as the above post states. Teachers are not allowed to state their own pronouns to students, and may not correct anyone, student or staff, if they use the wrong ones for anyone that are not what was assigned at birth.

Some schools take it as far as not even allowing teachers to use other pronouns for students who ask (you’re allowed but can not be required to), or even won’t allow any student to use ANY nickname or alternative name that is not DIRECTLY tied to a shortening of their birth name. Shit I had a student who goes by their first and middle initial be told they couldn’t use their nickname by a teacher. A lot of going above and beyond for fear of breaking the rule. A rule which basically legally says you should bully trans people of all age.

I mean… that’s a mortgage. So if that counts, then yeah. Sad part is most of those paying that much on top of rent (which is also that much.)

Oh boy don’t look at Florida’s teacher salaries then. (Or whatever hell holes are the 2 states lower than us)

So you’ve not heard of the Panama papers, or are just wilfully ignoring evidence that it’s pretty much proven fact that they do commit tax crimes.

Ah the good ol’ “I’m not transphobic I’m just thinking of the pooor economy!”

Oh god PLEASE Hunter Biden be the saviour we need. Let the republicans change the constitution and put a dent in the 2nd amendment just to pin something on him. It’d be beautiful. A Biden causing some real change.

Idk, personally it was very unengaging and the only way I found it amusing was through a ton of mods or Enderall’s total conversion mod. But everyone’s into different shit.
