Some guy with a computer. Ok, a lot of computers.

I honestly forgot Threads even existed.

Of course he's from Florida. What other state would do this?

Also, it's not like Florida was taking the shot anyway.

May have? It would be more surprising news if he didn't.

It's ok, that's clearly a different wolf. Nothing to worry about.

With uBlock origin!

Manjaro? I use that on my computer!

Oh, you said Mounjaro? Never mind.

I want those boots!

Ok, I want that whole outfit.

I tried the Official Windows 11 start menu. I had disabled showing "recommended apps" in the settings. This hid the icons, but not the section. So, whenever I opened the start menu, the entire bottom half was a section that said "enable recommended apps to show them here."

That's when I installed Start11 (I also bought StartAllBack, but I preferred Start11) and never looked back.

Am I the only one who hates "-gate" used to call something a "scandal?"

Watergate was the name of the hotel, it wasn't a scandal involving water!

STINKY CHEESE MAN! I had this book as a kid; loved it! I'm sure it's still at my parent's house :-)

Vaccine court

There's a specific court just for vaccines? Is that by regular court and family court?

I just upgraded to a WiFi 6E router. Both my phone and my laptop support 6E.

Speeds are great, until you leave the living room (where the router is). Go up to my bedroom, and 6E won't even connect. So it's fast, but 6Hz has trouble going through walls.

Most of the other devices in the house are on 5GHz and that's still super fast and able to reach basically everywhere.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it, I can't say. People just liked it better that way!

I didn't know Spotify changed this. I opened up the app, and sure enough it popped up with "the heart is now a plus."

Yeah, I don't like it. Just a random plus sign on the "now playing" screen isn't obvious what it does. Yes, the app told me, but that only appears once.

I wonder if we can complain and get them to change it back.

Let's use Betteridge's law of headlines to answer this question.

Do Jeffrey Epstein documents "exonerate" Donald Trump?

No.

I, personally, don't know any democrats who would vote for RFK over Biden. To me, it seems more likely that he'd split the Republican vote.

Oh boy, yet another reskinned Chrome/Chromium browser.

I'll stick with the real "Chrome alternative," Firefox.

I pick Firefox, what does that get me?

Obviously, ProtonMail shouldn't be on here, but is this a list anyone even uses?

Some ThinkPads. I have coreboot on my T430, but I don't think my X270 can run it.

This doesn't work for most streaming services. The ads and the actual video come from the same server. I know this is the case on Hulu (probably YouTube, too).

You're assuming they care about the content of the ads. If they're getting paid, they run the ad, that's it.

And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile

I didn't realize people still used AdBlock Plus, or that it even still existed.

So, poorly built, hard to fix, and will happily run over other people?

I had a Fossil Wear OS smartwatch, I liked it but I barely used any of its features. Basically, I'd use it to notify me of messages and then I could see whether or not to pick up my phone.

I sold it and bought a Fossil hybrid (Collider HR) and I love that thing. The battery lasts about 2 weeks and people always think it's so cool that it has physical hands.

It shows me whenever I get a message or calendar notification (or whatever notifications I want) and that's all I care about.

I haven't looked at the newer generation of watches, but I don't think I'd upgrade or anything.

I also have other Fossil stuff, like belts. They make cool stuff, but they've always been a fashion brand first before a tech brand.

If they stop making smartwatches, are there any other brands that make good hybrid, eink watches?

Also, the article just mentioned they'd stop making Wear OS devices so maybe they'll still make the hybrid watches?
