I can't tell if she looks young for her age, or if she looks super young compared to everyone else on stage wirh her

As far as I can tell based on articles I've read, he really wanted to run, but the party was getting divided over calls for him to step down. He must have figured that the infighting would take away his incumbent advantage

The only way to order from Dominos is to use coupons, and even them I feel like I always spent more than I intend to. I remember a handful of years ago they were putting flyers on the pizza box saying that the delivery few doesn't count as a tip. Then what's the delivery fee for???

Idubbbz. It's fine that he grew out of his edginess, I largely have too, but most of his videos now just feel like he needs to pay the bills and just cranks something out.

I avoid the news, if it's important one of my friends or family will tell me. Also, if something is going on but isn't actionable (I can't do anything about it) I try not to let it occupy much of my headspace.

"im 9 btw"

I've switched to indie games or older releases in my backlog

My sister just bought a MacBook Air for college, and I had to beg her to spend the extra money on 16gb of memory. It feels like a scam that it appears cheap with the starting at price, but nobody should actually go with those "starting at" specs.

The day Windows 10 loses support is the day I primary (or solo) boot Linux on my gaming desktop. The more news I read the more certain I am in this.

I strongly believe that a large part of the reason China is so strict with underage phone and game restrictions is because the parents are at work for too long to do any real parenting. Ideally parents should be the ones making those choices and actually monitoring their kids, but since I don't have kids I can't really say for myself.

I have Prime and still pirated it, because the website and app are such a mess

My real question here is, do they really pay the employees enough for them to actually care?

Good on you for having such a detailed and well-meaning post, and good on the devs for being so receptive to ideas. I run Immich but am definitely a novice when it comes to self hosting things, so I had no idea this was going on. I don't have any suggestions for the feature request but the proposed changes to the documentation would be good for people to know its thete and can be changed.

Honestly, I pay for YouTube Premium but I still use Revanced and NewPipe for the extra features. Why can't they just leave me alone?

I have a laptop solo booting Ubuntu and a Steam Deck, they're great. But on my desktop where I'm primarily playing games, many of which wirh anti cheat, it's not worth making the switch just yet. I think another year of development into Proton and stability will make it worth it. Also, I got a NAS recently with OpenMediaVault and I only have the time to tinker with one thing at a time :P

Any advice on the switch though, or tools you use lmk!

When I have a concert I usually install the app, load the ticket into my mobile wallet, and delete the app

They announced they're staying together as Second Wind Group, so hopefully the momentum just goes there instead

Same here. But fortunately LJ is working on a Sync for Lemmy, excited for that. I use Connect for Lemmy right now which has a similar UI

I like 1Password's built in MFA support, if it's a really sensitive account I use Google Authenticator because I haven't bothered researching better local alternative

Edit: Going to try Aegis for the more sensitive logins, looks like what I'm looking for

You can just set your torrent program to open at startup, as long as you use your computer somewhat often you'll be fine. Or you can look into a seedbox, it's cheap

I don't think I would have graduated college without Khan Academy. For coding, MDN, Geeks4Geeks and W3Schools are also great.

I liked Windows Mail for its simplicity but between the ads and the tracking for Outlook I guess I'm moving to something else. Now I understand why my mail accounts give Oauth or temporary passwords to external clients, because otherwise M$ would have them.

My friend uses me@, wonder if that would work better

I flew on Porter and their "ad" was just a 30 second thing about how they're a cool airline. That's fine, although the real cost is that they make you have a rewards account

Ken Bone was from 2016 I believe

A private tracker is a torrenting site, like TPB, but is invite-only or has some other barrier to get in. They're usually safer and faster, bur you have to seed. Also YMMV, obscure things might either not be on there, or have few/no seeds.

I can invite too if people need it, shoot me a DM

I chipped in when my friend bought Paranoia Agent on Blu-ray because he promised me the digital copy, so this does affect me. Granted, after learning the news I "found" some rips online for my NAS, but still. It's not okay.

OpenMediaVault (Debian), it's the perfect amount of tinkering and simplicity for my first nas/homeserver

I have the basic $3 one, I just call it my shitposting tax. Longer messages, using emotes in any server and larger files. I use it a lot since my friends haven't warmed up to Matrix yet, might as well support them while its not total trash

Oh man, I haven't seen a Pearls Before Swine strip in ages

This would cause a maintenance nightmare for the devs though. And from what I hear, the app stores discourage multiple versions of the same app these days.

I don't drive, and because traveling is always a direct cost to me ($20 Uber each way to the mall just to watch a movie hurts), I'm not convinced when my friends tell me how much money I'm saving. But with stuff like this, maybe I am actually saving money...

It's excellent

Man, I missed Brueggers. I've had something similar minus the bacon, it's cursed but definitely better than I expected

I got around this by just downloading some big freeleech porn packs or a couple new release shows/movies. My highest ratio item is an anime episode I downloaded minutes after release

I was wondering the same thing. Is anyrhing stopping me from buying a "smart" TV and just never putting it online? My current one hasn't been connected in years but I bought that thing in 2018, maybe things have changed

I just started the Kagi trial this morning, so far I'm impressed how accurate and fast it is. Do you find 300 searches is enough or do you pay for unlimited?

In the US, delivery drivers are paid below minimum wage, not to mention they're usually using their own cars, so it is expected to tip them to make up the difference. The flyer was saying that the delivery fee doesn't directly go to drivers, if it did then the tip would actually be optional.

I'd like to spin up a Matrix instance for me and my friends on my NAS, but like you said it's currently more involved than just getting a domain and running a compose. The space is evolving fast though and experiments like these help a lot
