Because it's what happened. It's not a point of morals or anything else. Go read the Wikipedia article.

Once again, that's not out of line with what he and I said. There were barricades and fighting in the streets of Beijing and the army killed whoever got in their way to the square, but the people occupying the square were negotiated with and peacefully dispersed. They then once again took all the ammo from the soldiers.

You do know that the pictures support what he said right? There's pictures of dead soldiers because they weren't given ammo when marching into the city. Once they started getting killed, they gave them ammo and they just started shooting everybody. Before then the protesters smashed their heads, stripped them, and burned them.

The ones who stayed in the square were mostly the peaceful hunger strikers and not the fighters so the square itself was cleared without much trouble compared to the march into the city.

You're right, the clown and his nose is the final panel.

It's like a party in my mouth and everyone's throwing up.

I'd imagine it's be unhinged based on Morrowind's mechanics alone. Some guy zooms up to you, hits you with his fists until you have no stamina, then you lie on the floor while he zooms away.

I doubt choosing to stick up a vehicle covered in cameras with someone who likely isn't even carrying cash is anyone's idea of a good payoff.

I wish we used Magyar nicknames in our American locker room. I was big delicious but I don't know what that'd be in Hungarian.

High fiber salads should decrease gastric emptying speed. Grain doesn't have a lot of fiber or protein to break down so it shouldn't spend much time in your stomach in the first place. Amylases are generally doing their work in your saliva and small intestine.

Just overall a very funny comment in regards to Israel.

Military retirement benefits and teachers pensions mean you don't have to save a ridiculous 401k. Your average American wishes they had that freedom. Not a dig on Walz, just a dig on our retirement and healthcare system.

I originally wasn't going to vote for Kamala since she was a cop, but now that I know she's a witch I've changed my mind.

You gotta be stupid as shit to run something like this from the US and keep a financial tail of credit card payments to you.

You also gotta be stupid as shit to actually pay 10 bux for this.

Hahaha. She wasn't even protesting. She was being awarded for compassion to suffering and she literally just noted other suffering she had compassion for, but acknowledging other's suffering in a way that's not politically correct to the jackboot administration is "putting others in danger."

Oh I hope my fellow nurses teach this employer a lesson.

The dissenting opinion puts that into the spotlight. It really is dumb that they're saying even federal courts/administrative bodies can't make that determination.

Here's what's interesting about this: HIV is a retrovirus. That means it integrates itself in your DNA. This approach edits the virus in your DNA. The downside is that, like most recombinant viruses, hiv mutates often. This would have to be tailored.

The other, bigger issue is that this only removes the virus in DNA. The virus RNA and packages to turn it into DNA and reinsert it need to be delt with before it can be cured.

In achieving a true cure, you would have to achieve both steps. Considering our previous success was to off all your bone marrow and replace it, this is a promising approach.

Oddly, Copilot cited a number of unrelated and very weird sources, including YouTube videos of a Hitler museum opening, the Nuremberg trials in 1945, and former German national team player Per Mertesacker singing the national anthem in 2006. Only the fourth linked video is actually from Martin Bernklau.

Jesus Christ this AI really has it out for this fucking guy. This is after they fixed the slander. "As he is German, here is further information on Nazis."

Alabama also passed a bill to ban the sale and manufacturing of it, making it a Class C felony.

What in the fuck is going on in these guys heads. I get being beholden to the cattle industry but this shit is beyond that

Sure. Even better, if you replace them with ones that will rule this was an error and the president only gets qualified immunity, you'll still be in the clear because you were acting on what you thought the law was.

In response to questions regarding the video footage and reports that pro-Israel counter protesters said the statement, Vice President for Communications Renata Nyul said the “fact that the phrase ‘Kill the Jews’ was shouted on our campus is not in dispute.”

“The Boston Globe, a trusted news organization, reported it as fact. There is also substantial video evidence. Any suggestion that repulsive antisemitic comments are sometimes acceptable depending on the context is reprehensible. That language has no place on any university campus,” Nyul said.

Well, that guy doesn't want anybody to doubt he's a fucking jackboot.

Yet the Court continues on to resolve questions not before us. In a case involving no federal action whatsoever, the Court opines on how federal enforcement of Section 3 must proceed. Congress, the majority says, must enact legislation under Section 5 prescribing the procedures to “ ‘ “ascertain[ ] what particular individuals” ’ ” should be disqualified. Ante, at 5 (quoting Griffin’s Case, 11 F. Cas. 7, 26 (No. 5,815) (CC Va. 1869) (Chase, Circuit Justice)). These musings are as inadequately supported as they are gratuitous.

To start, nothing in Section 3’s text supports the majority’s view of how federal disqualification efforts must operate. Section 3 states simply that “[n]o person shall” holdcertain positions and offices if they are oathbreaking insurectionists. Amdt. 14. Nothing in that unequivocal bar suggests that implementing legislation enacted under Section 5 is “critical” (or, for that matter, what that word means in this context). Ante, at 5. In fact, the text cuts the opposite way. Section 3 provides that when an oathbreaking insurrectionist is disqualified, “Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.” It is hard to understand why the Constitution would require a congressional supermajority to remove a disqualification if a simple majority could nullify Section 3’s operation by repealing or declining to pass implementing legislation. Even petitioner’s lawyer acknowledged the “tension” in Section 3 that the majority’s view creates. See Tr. of Oral Arg. 31. Similarly, nothing else in the rest of the Fourteenth Amendment supports the majority’s view. Section 5 gives Congress the “power to enforce [the Amendment] by appropriate legislation.” Remedial legislation of any kind, however, is not required. All the Reconstruction Amendments (including the due process and equal protection guaranteesand prohibition of slavery) “are self-executing,” meaning that they do not depend on legislation. City of Boerne v. Flores, 521 U. S. 507, 524 (1997); see Civil Rights Cases, 109 U. S. 3, 20 (1883). Similarly, other constitutional rules of disqualification, like the two-term limit on the Presidency, do not require implementing legislation. See, e.g., Art. II, §1, cl. 5 (Presidential Qualifications); Amdt. 22 (Presidential Term Limits). Nor does the majority suggest otherwise.

Market consolidation resulting in less of a desire to compete with innovation? Who would've thought.

That's just the processing plants for Tyson. Realize that they control their whole production chain. They hatch the chicks, sell or rent them to farmers, produce and sell the farmers the feed, then transport the grown chickens back to be processed.

They are truly a monstrous polluter.

The mental gymnastics this guy does to justify his ideology. "California is prosperous despite not following my dumb pet economic theories and so is Saudi Arabia. They must be the same thing."

Like that's an aggressive form of terminal stupidity. Keep this up and he'll be eating glue before the years out.

You can't break up steam and improve the market in any particular way. Since they're not really big on exclusivity agreements, there's also very little a court order would do to make the market more competitive.

Party of fiscal responsibility just showing who's pocket they actually care about.

Edit: also

The legislature has so far rejected that proposal, and it is now on break for the rest of 2024.

I understand farmers like having part time legislature so they can both participate in government and run harvest season, but Jesus Christ Wisconsin is supposedly a full time legislature.

So listen, I'm not pro Hamas. Killing non settlers at a music festival is just terroristic murder and even killing random settlers is both counterproductive and terroristic even though most of them are very bad people. That said, this framing is ridiculous:

Some demonstrations have included hate speech, antisemitic threats or support for Hamas, the group that attacked Israel on Oct. 7, sparking a war in Gaza that has left more than 34,000 dead.

Blaming Hamas for Israel's slaughter is exactly the same as justifying Hamas's actions. That's very much a pro-genocide statement.

Hindutva love Trump's Republican party, right until they deport them for not being Christian. They've got a similar relationship there as zionists do.

I'm actually rather surprised the evangelicals aren't revolting over a Catholic/Hindu couple being on the ticket.

Am nurse. You are allowed to walk out AMA without signing shit if you have capacity and you're generally assumed to have capacity unless indicated otherwise. I would like you to sign the documents, but I cannot force you or imprison you and I'm not going to call security. Going AMA without signing something or seeing a doctor is not elopement.

Since she called her mother saying she needed a ride on the 8th and they stated she went AMA on the 8th, I honestly believe she went AMA, maybe even signed it, and then ended up dying off the unit. It's the most plausible scenario. How everything else got fucked up is another situation. If they already discharged her maybe they didn't readmit once she died? Everyone thought it was someone else's job? Saw she was "discharged" on the board and thought someone else already handled the death checklist?

Edit: the filing https://prod-portal-sacramento-ca.journaltech.com/public-portal/?q=downloadFile/18267732/2204994 she died two hours after she called her mother for a ride. No fillings from the defendants yet to see what else was going on.
