Good news for you, there is a ReVanced version of Joey now. It's a patch for the APK, the only thing it does is spoof your client so that Reddit doesn't know you are using a third-party app. I have been using it for weeks now and works flawlessly, even NFSW content.
Thank you but I'm quite liking being away from Reddit. Sometimes I still check posts when I'm researching something and it comes up, but I'm not spending endless time scrolling either.
I do miss a few smaller communities though which is a shame.
