Fun fact about elevators, in the exceedingly unlikely event of the elevators like, 600 redundancies to keep it from ever entering a free fall all fail, the elevator still most likely won't fall fast enough to seriously injure you. The air in the shaft has nowhere to go as the elevator falls, making it compress and act as a brake. Definitely prefer the elevators.
