They didn't even protest. I remember the blackout days, my front page was pretty much just them.
They're the most anal mods on Reddit so I guess it's not much of a surprise.
AskHistorians has them beat for tight moderation. I find the lack of protest a bit surprising because they seem like they would rely on bots extensively.

If you just want a feed of the comics submitted to /r/polandball, lemmit.online runs a bot that will create a community on that instance and automatically mirror the posts on a subreddit. If you go to and issue a request (post title consisting of "/r/polandball"), it'll create it and you can subscribe to that.
It won't mirror comments, though, which may or may not matter for you.
