I believe their other readers work with moon+ reader and other apps. I was debating getting one of the color ones and if you can deal with the slow refresh rate of eink and some apps not being optimized with page flashes etc, then it's a good choice.
Also interested in this as a beach "phone" to be able to easily bring it when it's super bright out and have a readable display.
