"I was prepared to go on stage to craft a statement, saying he decided not to go on stage because of fact-checking... we couldn't compromise on that."

As [NABJ president Ken] Lemon was preparing that statement, Trump walked onto the stage.

You know nothing about me, and about what I can handle.

You clearly can't handle someone using the word 'negro' on Lemmy when they're suggesting it's something racists say. So yeah, I think I know enough about you to say that you won't be able to handle it if someone actually uses it in a racist way if you can't handle this.

I can handle it. I just don’t like it. And it’s not about the Republicans, my comment has nothing to do with them, it was about you. You’re the one that used the racial epithet. You.

Yes. I can see. You can handle it so well you've been getting upset about it for over a day now.

Because it's hurtful.

Unlike, apparently, when the actual racists are saying it.

But the racists you’re speaking of aren’t using it in public. Name one instance of an elected Republican using it in public in the past year. You can’t because they don’t. Do you know why they don’t? Because they know it’s offensive, hurtful, and they’ll get blowback for it.

But you did use the racial epithet, very unnecessarily, your point and joke could have been made without it.

You’re pointing your finger at racists because you say they’re using racial slurs privately. But you used it publicly. You did.

That’s why I called it out, you used a racial slur publicly, unnecessarily, that would be hurtful to people, and you’re proud of it and defend it. It’s not about what Republicans do, it’s about what you do.

But the racists you’re speaking of aren’t using it in public.

Yet. Which is my point.

Because they know it’s offensive, hurtful, and they’ll get blowback for it.

But you can't handle it when someone who isn't trying to be offensive said it.

That’s why I called it out

And then you continued to talk about how much it hurt you. Repeatedly. And then claimed I didn't care about anyone's feelings because I didn't care if a word that people use in much ways hurt you when I used it.

By the way, you have no idea what my skin color is. I wonder if that would matter?

I didn’t say it hurt me, I said it was hurtful.

Regarding your race I don’t recall, but from memory I know you’re poor, sick, live in a Midwestern town or similar (I could check the Domino’s receipt stub and get a lot more info) enough family names and other trivia I could probably doxx you in an hour but I won’t bother.

Just this gem though, can’t you see the irony of you telling someone else not to make racist jokes when that’s exactly what you did?

You make all the jokes you want. Just not ones which disparage people with disabilities, are bigoted, racist, etc.

This isn't a comedy club in the 90s. We don't need your "edgy" humor.

If it didn't hurt you, how do you know it hurt anyone else? Why do you speak for them.

And I didn't make a racist joke, I made a joke about racists. It's amazing you can't tell what the difference is. You better never listen to a Richard Pryor routine.
