Its such a shame that a once great platform is heading downhill. I'm still an occasional user of the site I'll admit, but i guess Lemmy is my goto these days.

I used to lurk there out of habit of using my 3rd party app of choice. Now that it had shut down, I don't think I'll come back.

I've barely been on Reddit this week and spend all my time here now instead lol. I dont think I'll quit Reddit completely but for now at least Lemmy is ticking all the boxes for me.

Reddit still has better content. It's not as good as it used to be before the shenanigans broke loose, but while Lemmy is getting better every day, it still has a long way to go.

Lemmy works okay; once 3rd party apps get really rolling it'll be even better. No ads at least, and there's so far a distinct lack of cancer.
