What is your dark figure/shadow person story?

I was talking to my girlfriend about how some people have a shadow person/dark figure and was wondering if Lemmiters would like to share their story so she, and others, get to know about them.

I guess potential trigger warnings.

Also, not sure if it's ok to ask about shadow persons.. leave it to the mods to mod

I rest my case. How will someone like you react when it ends up being officially recognized as something even weirder than "space aliens from Mars", I don't know.
