Inspired by the linked XKCD. Using 60% instead of 50% because that's an easy filter to apply on rottentomatoes.

I'll go first: I think "Sherlock Holmes: A game of Shadows" was awesome, from the plot to the characters ,and especially how they used screen-play to highlight how Sherlocks head works in these absurd ways.

Critic score or audience score? Because boy, there's a difference

My friend has a theory that if the critic score is significantly lower than the audience score, it will probably be a good movie. He's been mostly right afaict

There can be a big difference between what a person whose job it is to watch and critique movies will like and what a person who just wants to enjoy one likes. Unless you're a film buff, user scores will almost always be the better metric.

this would include all the Snyder-verse films. So yeah, this might not be the best method.

I feel like one of the best spots for a fun movie is critic rating 40-50%, and an audience rating of 70-75%. It'll be brainless enough you can take a piss without missing anything, but fun enough you can still guzzle some popcorn.
