No it was a nation oppressed by Britain, seeking independence. They didnt consider themselves British. My mind's not gonna be changed by old, oppressive British colonialism.
You don't have to "consider yourself part of [insert country]" to be part of said country.
Man you are really adamant old Britain being imperialistic tyrants is a justification for this. Well Ive already said its not gonna change my mind, and its just us two talking, so I guess Ima head out.
