Which proprietary software do you prefer over their open-source alternatives, and why?

Shazam, because there are no open source alternatives

There's Mousai, which is a GNOME app on GNU/Linux which uses the AudD API.

I don't exactly carry a Linux laptop with me everywhere I go. I don't even have Linux on my PC yet

I also love how Shazam automatically updates my list to an Apple Music playlist, so I just have a running list of good music that I’ve heard over the years. It’s fun to shuffle it and remember where and when I heard certain songs from years ago.
