I was using aurora store for awhile and today I got a notification tell me to update this app. I have no idea what it do exactly, but I always try to degoogle my phone as much as possible. It would help a lot if someone can give an answer. Thank in advance.

A quick DuckDuckGoing says offloading mobile data onto known wifi networks managed by the carrier.

https://source.android.com/docs/core/connect/carrier-wifi

That verb is quite cumbersome to use, I propose the following;

  • "A quick ducking"
  • "I ducked it"
  • "Go duck it!"
  • "You should duck him"
  • "never duck that"
  • "You should often duck yourself to learn what it will be like when other people duck you."

Duck it or f"ck it.
Manually degoogling a phone can result in many unwanted problems. Essential aosp softwares are REPLACED by its proprietary alternatives by google . The best way to go is use an Aosp ROM or microg ROM/os. Like Grapheneos Microg4lineage Calyxos or any other you like

I'm using crdroid with microg and the best match for this is carrier communication

version 14 com.android.carrierdefaultapp

I get that custom ROM is the best for degoogle my phone but as a Samsung user with a snapdragon chip I already run out of luck for it.

If you're from Europe then you can get install a custom bootloader regardless of Snapdragon.

I'm not sure, but you can use the app "Canta" if you want to remove system apps, it categorises them into safe and unsafe to remove. Very useful app, but it does require adb to operate. Shizuku can provide that for you on-device.

Thank for the suggestion I am currently using app manager to delete system software via adb I will test canta when I can
