I am having a problem commenting in posts made by users from kbin to lemmy instances

For example, I would like to reply to this post: https://mander.xyz/post/752832

But when I do, the site simply hangs indefinitely. I have tested this on different instances. I have seen this happen only when the poster is from a kbin instance - has anyone else experienced something similar?
