I'd put this on mildlyinteresting but haven't yet figured out how to find communities/threads, so here's something I'm working on, a little magnetic core memory design. This shows the four bit core I made to characterize the NOS cores I'm using, a finished 64 bit, and a started 256 bit that I abandoned because the core density was too high. They touch, and y'all know what happens when magnets touch. The cores are 1.3mm in diameter, with 32 gauge wire for the drive lines and sense line.
I hope the pic comes through. First post and all.
