This means that content from KBin won’t show up when searching a tag on Mastodon. I’m not sure if it’s related, but on #icecubes when you open a kbin tag it won’t open in-app. It will open it in Mastodon in a browser. Profile tags will also behave similarly, but those will instead open the KBin instance’s tag view.
