Ukrainian troops have launched an offensive in several directions around the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast and made advances, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said on June 24.
Genuine question, is there even a city still? Surely it's mostly flat fields and piles of rubble by now?
I don't know if it counts as a "city" exactly, but there's still a lot of defensive locations. Concrete apartment buildings can take a hell of a beating and stay standing apparently. Houses are damaged, but they're still cover...
