My take on this is that any listicle is there for the clicks. Most of them, you can read in a minute, then discard. Listicles seem to be one of Paste's modus operandi, but they aren't alone in this.

What made me want to post this one is that for me, there are definitely some interesting additions and that it seems that quite a bit of thought and effort went into it.

Of course, each one of us might quibble with what's in there or not in there, or what order things are in, and so on. I don't care about that debate, really. I like discovering things that are new to me, and there are quite a few on there that I will add to my "to listen" playlist, that I hadn't considered or heard of before.

I listened to the whole of this album off the back of this post. Ferocious band.

Out of the all the bands who are in my top 50 most listened to, The Sundays are one of the few that I was never able to see live.

last.fm tells me that I have listened to Reading, Writing and Arithmetic 110 times digitally. However, I also own physical copies on cassette, CD and vinyl. I reckon that I must have clocked up somewhere near 1000 plays by now.

Do you like their other 2 albums? They also have some very good songs that were b-sides.

This ruins my analogy of Meta federating with Activity Pub being like the Taliban promising to be good guys this time round.

Thanks for posting. I listened to this band for the first time, not to long ago and they’re pretty good, I think. I always find it tough to get over bands who have a particularly ludicrous name like this, though. 😀

This is a great cover version and one of my favourite SK tracks. I hadn't seen that performance before. I wonder what its story is?

I just got around to listening to this. I like it. Thanks!

IMO much of RK and Jenny Lewis output is pretty great and I revisit their tunes from time to time, with enjoyment. Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, they have been releasing the odd thing here and there over recent years.

Just started listening to it. I haven’t come across NTS before.

Yes, I too think that this is what a band would sound like if Billy Corgan decided to make music like this. I didn’t quite get the same tingle of excitement with Silversun Puckups when I first heard them as I did with Smashing Pumpkins, though.

The NME said at the time of its release…

Aztec Camera, the Housemartins, the Smiths and the La's – all very special groups, and now you can listen to them all at once! Perfect. Crystalline. Divine. Confident...

Holy crap. You are not wrong when you say it's graphic, OP. I just had a listen to a couple of Hana Vu tracks and have put her latest album in my listen queue.

I will keep an eye open for them heading my way!

Yeah! I listened to some of their stuff a couple of years ago and then got reminded of them recently because of their new stuff. I thought they were the band from the Japanese movie and not a current band.

Not that many were using it, but Songwhip is dead. Links that are already created still work but not sure how long this will last.

Thanks for commenting. What’s are some Glen Hansard tunes you would recommend?

Thanks for the source and for your comment!

I must have a listen to their other songs. Thanks for commenting!

You’re welcome!

Definitely a smart move!

Would almost want to see the whole movie!

That's great. Thanks for commenting.
