I hope the $20 doesn't set you back too much! I think you're gonna really like it though. I already have about 77 hours of playtime, and most of that was before the recent ship-customization updates. I know early-access is a contentious subject, but the developers have been pretty steady with updates.

I'm also a big fan of sailing games. Have you tried Sailwind?

I'm daily driving a 32-year old car. I have no interest in something newer. AMA.

Duh, there's no point in doing something if there's not enough time to make it perfect.

It's a blue 1992 Mazda Miata with a hardtop. I've owned it for about 7 years. No mods besides basics like a bluetooth radio and a short fixed antenna (instead of the factory retracting whip antenna). Maintenance is easy and replacement parts are dirt cheap. Recently replaced the clutch master/slave cylinders for about $40 worth of parts. A set of four tires can easily be found under $400. It averages around 26.5 miles per gallon in combined city/highway driving and I got 32 on my last long distance highway trip.

Just fucking return it. If I made a post for everytime Amazon did something like this to me, it would get really annoying really quick.

Wired ones.

I hope everyone here is having a wonderful day!

And my Kodi!

Did anyone actually know what this acronym was supposed to mean without checking the article?

You're ignoring that your balance will increase over time through interest and stock gains. I believe this is historically around 8%, exceeding inflation.

I'm still rocking a Galaxy S9+ with no intent of upgrading. I don't even know what phone I would go with if I did need another.

Huh, I haven't come across a single one of these temples so far and I'm almost 90 hours in. I guess I need to give the main quest more attention.

What about vaping marijuana?

Still buying as it's on sale.

Are the animals humans? And is the abuse the act of eating that sad sandwich? If so, I agree, that is animal abuse.

You guys, I have a hunch that perhaps there are different designs. 🤔

No, you always take less than the increase. This is why most FIRE plans revolve around living on 3-4%. The gain percentage minus withdrawal percentage should ideally leave you with a number greater than the losses due to inflation.

I got them on sale for around $110. They might be expensive for wired earbuds, but still cheaper than nice wireless earbuds, including the Fairbuds this post is about. Also, the cables are replaceable in case they ever get damaged.

No offense taken personally. I felt the same way about the $2.13 claim since, when comparing legal employers, is not possible. Of course, if we accept that some employers break the law, then the $7.25 wage isn't very relevant anymore either.

I hope you have a pleasant day!

I live in a 7a USDA Plant Hardiness Zone, so it gets down to around 0°F and salt is definitely used in the winter. However, if I drove a different car, then it would be the one to get the additional wear and tear. Seems more cost effective to limit the exposure to one vehicle.

Also, I'm not one to baby my belongings. I mentioned the car is blue from the factory, but it's currently rocking a used red front bumper cover and hood after a front-end collision. In another example of my vehicular abuse, I had to replace the power steering rack after a failed attempt at a creek crossing. Water got in the original one and it started getting crunchy. Parts aren't too expensive though, so it was fixed with a $400 remanufactured unit off eBay.

E: This Miata got pulled out of the creek the next morning after we sobered up and went out to buy a tow strap. Again AMA.

I ❤️ fishnets. The texture is so satisfying.

I've been seeing a lot more comments removed by mods lately, especially on news@lemmy.world. These don't appear to be harassing comments either, just something the mod disagrees with and wants to silence. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to see which mod is the one on a power trip though the Voyager app.

Correct, I rather support the Firearms Policy Coalition because they are actively defending individual's rights in court and winning.

I don't see anywhere in the article where Musk says "tolerance". He specifically says "accuracy" and goes on the talk about listing more decimal places instead of rounding. Any mention of tolerance is done by the author of the article. If certain dimensions are not naturally rounded to one, or even two decimals, there is no reason not to list it to three or more on modern drawings. GD&T can specify whatever tolerance is necessary without relying on a decimal-based block tolerance. I'd be interested in seeing the original email but it seems like there is a misunderstanding by the author given the context being discussed.

I default to three decimal places for all my basic dimensions on both in and mm drawings. One of the benefits of GD&T is that you can give provide additional dimensional accuracy, completely independent of the tolerance being specified.

Not the same guy, but I don't have trouble blocking outside noise with Etymotic ER3SE earbuds. They do go insanely deep into my ear though.

Eh, if someone tells me to reduce a tolerance from 5 to 10 thou at work, it's understood that it's +/-5 and 10. I don't think I've ever heard someone use the full range of a tolerance in conversation. If the tolerance isn't bilateral, it would be said like plus 5, minus zero. Anyways, +/- .0005" is our standard tolerance on the span of all dowel hole pairs.

Neat, i'm glad we agree. Early 90's is still very early in perspective to this audience. I'm driving a '92 and that's 32 years old now. The cars from that decade last much longer than the 100k quoted above. Also, this is beyond 2.5X the average quoted in the OP article. Clearly, these are "old" cars. In sum, the 100k-till-rust-apart claim isn't anchored in reality.

I prefer to look day.

I can't argue with that. Also, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm advocating for a tipping culture. I just want everyone to know that they are entitled to at least (the very low bar of) minimum wage. Any separate tipped-employee minimum wage is a myth, repeatedly claimed by abusive employers.
