This is a hard lesson to learn. From now on, my guess is you will have dozens of backups.

If I was a billionaire, funding hate groups wouldn't even be a thought. I'd be too busy traveling, partying and generally enjoying life.

You have to a miserable asshole to have a billion dollars and spend money on funding hate groups.

In the article, not one comment mentioned "piracy". They only mention "torrenting" which is not illegal and has absolutely nothing to do with these movie companies. They are grasping at straws here

The biggest issue I have is that half my results come back as videos. Video results should be in the video tab. I don't want to watch a half hour long video just to find out how to make a healing brew in ark.
One paragraph would convey the information 10x faster than any video could

Oh man I thought I was going to have to get another mobile provider. But thank goodness it's not about Mint mobile

I believe if you were to take this to your bank and tell them that someone tipped you this and you just want to check it it's counterfeit or real, the FBI would suddenly be involved

Samsung phones have great hardware, but all the Samsung bloatware ruins the phone. Good if you can get one with only stock android

I just started a job selling solar. And I was told more right wing leaning people buy more systems if you push the "off grid" option.

I used to work with a lot of young people and some of them told me they hated the Beatles. So I would randomly play Beatles songs and occasionally ask them what they thought. Turns out they never even listened to the Beatles except for maybe a couple of pop/radio songs. It was just a fad to hate on them

Red Dwarf

I have an older model of this Spectre. Can confirm it looks fantastic for the price and no smart features .

I paid $200 for mine. Do not buy the Walmart version. Also this seems overpriced for this unit

GM saved like $2 on an ignition switch and killed 13 people. They knew about the issue for years. So yeah, GM doesn't care if a few people have to die in order to turn a profit

The amount of people that don't know he took all these roles to avoid bankruptcy is also quite high

All my emojis have jaundice

Is that the one where MS updated the recovery partition by including a file that's too big for that default partition? I had to manually resize my recovery partition to fix that issue

Trump Building used to be located at 666 Fifth Avenue. I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to summon Gozer the Gozerian in there.

Yeah. It's been that way for at least a decade. My dad used to use bing for reward points and was scoring an Xbox controller every 3 months or so.

Great, now only the rich can commit gun crimes... /s

New? There's a hidden file on xp that records all your emails and web browsing.

The only new part is it's now AI driven?

“Rather than artificial intelligence, we’re going for actual intelligence.” Does this guy think his customers are robots or that a standard PC with a barcode scanner is considered AI?

No watch. I have a smart phone

Depending on the product/service. The cost of customer acquisition needs to be less than a 1/3 of the cost of the product. If your product costs $100, then this is a great customer acquisition cost. If it's $1, then pretty bad.

Destroying food stocks should be considered a crime against humanity

Time to polish up my resume.

Yeah this happens to me often. Like for example, I had a dream that I had a bird. Next day I found an injured sparrow in my back yard.

I remember when I was like 5 and I would have these moments of deja vu. They happened often enough I actively tried to change one. So as I began experiencing a moment of deja vu, I tried to do something that wasn't part of the previous dream. But as I tried to change it, the memory also changed.
Not sure how to explain it, but my memory of that event as it unfolded changed to represent me trying to change the event

I once had to rebuild some legacy code for a digital scoreboard. The code was written in a code mentioned in "Office Space". I think it was called top speed.
Until that day I thought it was a made up language.

PHP makes up like 80% of all websites worldwide.

I must is missed the security concerns, I didn't start programming in PHP until 2003.

When I was in HS I worked at a grocery store. One time we had a senior citizen come in and ask me for some bags. He then proceeded to go through the store and bag his groceries and then tried to walk out without paying.

Does he not look like Dr. Evil?

I haven't had any issues with browser compatibility since IE. Occasionally Safari might have some CSS issue, but it's been probably 10 years since I had any major issues with browser compatibility. Html 5 and CSS 3 tend to work across all browsers without issue.

I've been building sites for decades and have never used a frontend framework, just html, css, JavaScript and sometimes jQuery.

But I'm currently working on learning React because apparently it's so popular, most full stack jobs are now requiring it.

In a perfect world I would only build the front end with Html and CSS. I like the simplicity and also the security it provides.
