Here is another, more recent one: https://framapiaf.org/@davidrevoy/110786543576495517

A digital painting with expressive brush stroke of a cinematic scene in the same vein as the epic final battle of some movies or games. On the edge of a cliff getting disintegrated, we have a tiny fox, sword in hand, shield (icon of UBlock Origin) and its tail is in fire. It's Firefox. He pose in a defiant and combative way in front of a giant sphere: the Chrome logo, with a lot of energy, and probably in the middle of casting a big spell. This is a reference to Google Web Environment Integrity, a new major threat to the open web. License: CC-By 4.0

Actually, the top one is the logo of the chromium browser engine, but the bottom one is not the logo of the Gecko browser engine. That's the logo of SpiderMonkey, Firefox's Javascript engine (Chromium uses V8).

This is the logo for Gecko: Gecko logo

It is, but apple forces all browsers to be reskinned safari under the hood

It all comes from a blog post from 2021. A picture from it went viral on X/Twitter a week ago. (First two links in the article) Since then everyone is posting it.

Cloudflare says 4.7%. I trust them more with these statistics because

  • they serve a significant chunk of the internet
  • they collect data serverside and I'm pretty sure more people block tracking scripts than change their user agent

But yes, it's way too small

The original makes more sense by not having that where clause Post by Seth Rosen on X/Twitter: Them: Can you just quickly pull this data for me? Me: Sure, let me just: SELECT * FROM some_ideal_clean_and_pristine.table_that_you_think_exists

It's just been merged to master for NixOS. Next stable would be 24.05

Firefox doesn't use the KDE file picker by default. You can set widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.file-picker to 1 to use the desktop environment's native picker.

You can view threads without logging in? I haven't been able see replies/parent posts in months.

Except with Nitter, but that had to shut down too.

Yes, that's what I meant. I hope they do something similar for waydroid.

If you are on android or ios the phone already cryptografically verifies that the operating system has not been tampered with on a hardware level. Since the operating system is then "trusted" it can verify anything you do on it

The F-Droid version of apps is signed by F-Droid's key, while the IzzyOnDroid version is signed by the developer's key. If you have the F-Droid version installed, you need to uninstall it before installing from IzzyOnDroid, Github or Playstore. F-Droid might not show the update from IzzyOnDroid if you can't install it.

So if your team is loosing you try to get shot deliberately to not be the last?
