But I can tell you that most major pharmas, Health NGOs and Government drug safety regulatory bodies are keenly aware that "Vaccines are a victim of their own success." They have multiple approaches to dealing with the problem that a successful vaccine campaign makes the need for the vaccines socially invisible. There are varying degrees of success, but not a lot of generalized and reliable ways to combat this kind of cognitive disconnect.

I'm guessing the same reason there are professional certifications for stage combat coordinators, stunt choreographers, and firearms instructors even for movies. If doing your job poorly could very likely result in harm to others on the job site, there should be some standards and practices that are explicit and measureable, and like the SAE, maybe a trade group who assists their members with certs and continuing education.
Handling sexual activity on a set can definitely result in harm if done poorly or negligently.

I grew up in NOVA. And while I agree with your assessment, you can't in good faith sell someone on those benefits without also mentioning the miserable, never-ending traffic nightmare that exists 24 hours a day anywhere near the beltway. I've lived in Manhattan, Chicago in three different neighborhoods and of course the DC metro area. I just spent a week in Fairfax, and it is the worst traffic I've ever seen outside of Atlanta at rush hour. And in VA, it's ALL THE TIME.

Hey it's Lemmy, so I will happily use this opportunity to blame rich people as well. I know people doing very well for themselves, who constantly, say, "yeah it sucks, but I've got the money and it doesn't hurt me so who cares?"
Because they're so completely unable to to think of ANYONE else in a different situation, or even remember their younger selves, that they will continue to incentivize predatory behavior because "fuck you, I got mine", and they're such huge pieces of self involved shit that they won't delay their gratification for a split second to help out an entire industry's consumers.

I feel somewhat the same on single player, but this is competitive GAAS, and they knew exactly what they were doing when they did it here. People who do this seriously already know every map, every spawn and every weapons characteristics within three days. (I'm wrong about this see below) This is simply another pay to win mechanic for the kind of people who play 12 hours a day, reach max rank in three days and hunt rookies who didn't spend the extra money to play early.

Anachronox. Ion Storm at it's best. Engaging plot and characters, humor well ahead of its time for a game script, and party members and environments that I've still never seen many games match to this day. I don't know why it didn't become huge, I think the rpg crowd back then was still pretty married to sword and sandal conventions. If you like old games, I can't recommend it enough.
