I understand being skeptical, but there's no reason it should be hard to believe...

I haven't seen anything like that, personally. I stick to my own communities and have had no issues so far. If anything it's been leagues better than reddit because it's so much smaller.

Tumblr is only good for extremely small and niche fandoms similarly to reddit. If I could mass exodus everyone from some of those smaller fandoms to an alternative like the fediverse I would, but most of them aren't techy (or stubborn) so it's difficult!

You can have a healthy dose of both being informed and practicing self care. Being empathetic is also a good thing, actually.

Preferably staying here. We need to keep growing Lemmy.

Fin Fin was almost a solo project and you can tell. I'm glad I got some help to finish coloring him, I didn't have the time myself.

Their app being inaccessible for the blind was 'not acceptable'. They can go shove it.

As Kobold said, it's a computer game called Fin Fin on Teo the Magic Planet. It has a small internet cult fandom. It's misleadingly marketed as a pet game when it's more of a wildlife/birdwatching simulator than anything.

Fin Fin inspired me a lot over the last year (even got me into 3D modeling) so I owed it to him to add him to the canvas!

Ah, thank you! It's neat to see what I placed on him.

G'raha Tia, here we go again, my my, how can I resist ya?

My friends were on different instances. I don't think anyone else from my instance worked on him.

Just, yikes.

I honestly can't choose. I love too many of them. Some of my favorites are clefable, pikachu, vaporeon, palafin, armarouge, absol, meowscarada/sprigatito, grovyle, corviknight, ampharos, wooloo... just too many!

That's awesome! What a cutie!

This is due to the community over at /c/196, formally /r/196. From Urban Dictonary:

"A subreddit that gained popularity due to only having one rule, which is to post before leaving. The sub started after it's predecessor, r/195, was shut down by the moderators."

Every post is titled with 'rule' in a similar vein to me_irl or the like (which has a similar gimmick). They're sort of free for all communities, usually meme focused.

I really thought this was fake. Wow!
