Love how rock climbing has some of the safest, most thoroughly tested gear in sports, but it always looks dangerous and that attacts all the "these guys are all idiots", "darwin award" and "i would probably die" people.

Working from home is awesome, working from bed is not. And people wonder why they have trouble falling asleep...

I eat bell peppers like apples. Just wash it and eat it, no cutting required.

I don't have answers but I love this one. They're usually pretty dumb, like a wrench on a motherboard or something. This one is actually funny with no intent on being serious.

We take folk dancing very seriously. There are A LOT of folk dance ensembles and they vary from random hobbyist groups to company-sponsored groups of 80+ dancers. There are lots of competitions, drama and every 5 years - a huge concert where most ensembles participate and perform in a stadium. One dance can contain up to 1000 dancers at the same time.

During this year's final dance the spectators mentioned that they could feel the ground shaking.

There's always been some craziness but I feel like it's growing more crazy every month. One of the superpowers started a war it can't win, the other 2 are slowly going into a cold war, the climate is becoming more and more unpredictable and there's always some kind of disease lurking around the corner. At the same time there's some cool progress in technology and science (and even that comes with its own issues).

To be fair, drinks with ice in them are still miles easier to drink with a straw.

You just can't see the microscopic "for" in "OWN IT ^for NOW"

That just means we have to get rid of 58 million Americans to balance it out!

So weird randomly seeing the name of my home city.

This would be exciting if I hadn't already lost all confidence in Ubisoft being able to make a fun AC game anymore.

Aglet. Not Phineas & Ferb. Terraria.

Do you buy a new TV, like, every other week?

That is definitely an autofilled one-off password from a password manager.

Lower level means you have more control over the small details. However, that also means that you have to reimplement some things from scratch, while higher level frameworks do those things for you.

Unrelated - I love that picture. I want it as a wallpaper but it's way too square. Do you have some source where I could get a higher definition, wider and/or taller version?

Because Gmail filters emails by type. Receiving emails on a client throws all the garbage in one inbox.

Then again, the Xperias are pretty damn good and use stock Android without all the bloat that other manufacturers add.

The trailer is amazing and I trust Bungie to create something that looks and feels incredible. Their art team is one of the best and they just understand gunplay.

However, PvP extraction shooter? That part makes me think I will not enjoy this at all.

Bootstrap paradox is my favourite time paradox. I loved Doctor Who's explanation.

To be fair, sometimes that answer can lead you to finding out that it was never supposed to be done that way and will never work

The Matrix + No Man's Sky. Oddly enough, it fits quite well because...

::: spoiler spoiler ...both of them explore the idea of living in a simulation. :::

This is exactly the smartass answer I'd expect from Lemmy

The 5th wave.

Wanted some easy sci-fi to kill time. Got something so ridiculously bad that i had to turn it off midway through.

is this a threat

Some Americans do. I didn't believe it either.

I like to think that I'd join a pirate crew and go on adventures, but more likely I'd be a hobo on some street on a Caribbean island. Could be worse.

Not sure about Rockstar, but this seems like something Nintendo would do lol.

Inside

You're so damn confident with every comment that I am constantly struggling not to believe you're actually Margot Robbie.

Competitions aren't that interesting to the average person. The Song and Dance festival would be a must-see:

Finally got No Man's Sky on sale. It's even better than I thought it would be. 7 years later and the game is super fun and has a ton of things to do. I hear they're still updating it so I can't wait for what comes next.

That's actually where I got the idea from! Been doing it ever since he released that.

Try QUBE too, it's great.

American kettles are slow because you use 120V mains.

Don't even have to open the video to confidently say this is an amazing one. Found it recently and can't stop listening.

Oh yes, Dark did it in an amazing way too.

Finished it before 2.0 released. Had a lot of fun, even though I had to set everything to the lowest possible, including resolution downscaling. Now that 2.0 was released, I wanted to play through the story again but I just couldn't. The lag was too unbearable and made the game unfun.

However, I subscribed to a cloud gaming service and am having a blast! Everything cranked up to max + RTX with minimal input latency. I was honestly impressed by how far the streaming technology has come.

The game itself feels and plays even better. A lot of annoying stuff has been fixed and reworked. There are still bugs, though.

Just finished basically every activity available and started the very beginning of the DLC. So far it's amazing, even cooler than the main story.

Yeah, lotsa downvotes but D2 is great. The issue is the amount of paid content - every tiny little new mission, gun or area is a new expansion or season pass. I get that they need to feed the people creating the new stuff but it's still like >$100 a year for you to play all the newest content when it comes out.

I usually skip the seasons because they're basically the same mission on repeat with a little cutscene at the start and end. If you're patient, you can get the DLCs for 1/3rd of the price and still have lots of fun with it. I even get cool cosmetics (in-game currency) and play endgame content with my clanmates so it's definitely not pay2win.

Mostly flash games on some websites. However, the main one I remember was Colin McRae Rally 2.0. Getting a cheap controller with force feedback was amazing.
