This is fucked up! It is kind of scary how even here in Germany the news coverage is skewed in favour of Macron recently. Kind of framing it as a migrant revolt. You only hear about the riots in france but no background info about why it is happening and what measures are taken. At the same time you hear about France starting to spy on citizens smartphones and just ask yourself what the fuck is happening. Thanks for the translation!

Let's see how long it holds until it will be overthrown by the European courts ^^

On the behalf of your mentioned problem. I don't know if it still holds as the eu's digital market act now forces "gatekeeper" messaging apps to open their api.

Actually this is the result of strong and convincing left parties and the fear of conservatives that communism might get more approval. At least in Germany.

Actually the definition is more nuanced. A radical (from latin radix = root) is someone who wants to change the political system from its core by using legal procedures like elections. An extremist is someone who despite being in a minority trys to overthrow the system in violent terms. So depending on Trump's win or a mop running in the capitol and declaring Trump the winner, they are either radicals or extremist.

At least under the gdpr in europe it should be a privacy violation as you need to have the consent of the user to process it's data. So they would have to go to every single one in a comment and ask for permission if they want to use it for recommendations algos or check out if contents fits advertisement.
