That's an unfinished nature bridge.

Just a reminder, one of the largest investors in Brave is a right-wing billionaire who runs a corporate espionage agency that contracts with the US Department of Defense to spy on people.

The real headline here is Texas being in the news for something that isn't shitty.

They refuse to do it because the idea has absolutely no merit to it. If there's a virus on your computer that could steal your data, it can just wait till you unlock that data to steal it. There is zero practical benefit to implementing your suggestion.

Man, I was hoping that since we're obviously gonna end up with a dystopia, that it would be a cyberpunk one, but here we are, gonna be stuck with a regular boring ass dictatorship.

The Jan. 6th insurrectionists who thought Trump was going to pardon them all because they were heroes.

It doesn't matter if YouTube can detect uBlock. The great thing about uBlock is you can just block the anti-adblock script. Since Javascript is executed on the user's computer, it's trivial to just tell your computer to ignore it. And moving it to server side would cost them too much money in processing power.

That's why they want everyone to adopt their DRM, so they don't have to worry about it.

It's not just hair though. It's the fact that a black student challenged a decision they've made.

They're absolutely right, but the last person who should be pointing that out is Apple, of all people.

What're you talking about? I use a Firefox plugin that blocks ads on Twitch. I haven't seen one since I started using it.

The blahaj admin defederating is totally fair, and it's the whole point of the fediverse. The dragging the issue into the public view to cover up their own mistaken impression is absolutely silly. The public attack in the form of implication that the other admin is supporting CSAM is sickening. This person comes across as the type to manufacture drama to make themselves seem like a victim. Were I an instance admin, they would be exactly the kind of person I would want to defederate from, as nothing good comes from association with people who like to play victim for attention.

This isn't even the first time this has happened to a Tesla, at this point this particular problem is just expected.

"The IDF has investigated ourselves, and we have found we have done nothing wrong."

You have everyday Israelis posting racist tiktoks making fun of Palestinian deaths, it was a given that if you take those same civilians and give them guns the abusive behavior would just get worse.

I don't pirate because I'm opposed to paying for things. I pirate stuff because I don't want to support scumbag corporations that don't give a shit about me. In fact, I buy most of the media and games I consume, in order to support the devs behind it.

And that's not a "new piracy gen", that's how piracy has always been for most people. You're the odd one out here.

All these problems, and it's ugly as hell to boot.

Oh boy, this comment section is gonna be spicy. I can already smell the smoke from the Brave enthusiasts heads exploding.

I love how the way he wrote that makes it seem like he considers this dude hurting the fandom and killing some show to be a worse transgression than hurting his girlfriend.

Well, for starters you're already off to a horrible start.

As much as I despise Musk for being a total piece of shit, this isn't treason. Technically, we aren't even allies with Ukraine. The argument could certainly be made that this works against the interests of the United States, but that alone isn't treason because it isn't a crime for citizens to oppose the US, especially when it's private property the US is being lent. Because at that time, the US hadn't signed a contract with Musk yet.

If he did this again, then it would be a breach of contract, but still wouldn't be treason. People being charged with treason is very rare, because it's a such a high bar to meet.

That or the lolis. I hate when you're watching an anime that seems good, and then they start sexualizing a nine year old.

I've heard the arguments about how it's a difference in culture, but I don't think it's offensive when I say if your culture includes pedophilia, it's time to take a long hard look at where you went wrong and think about what you should be changing about yourself. Because it's gross.

Oh, I know this one! The third explosion, right?

Well, it's not the way I would have preferred she leave office, but I'll take it.

We came to Lemmy for our own benefit, not just to fuck with reddit. Who cares if it hurt them or not? We're better off without reddit, and that is all that matters.

I see the quality of life people have when they start approaching 100, and lemme tell you I wouldn't want an extra 20 years of that. Living in the US sucks for healthcare, you're gonna be miserable if you live that long.

I've no plans to go back to my abusive ex.

Can we just talk for a moment about how the elementary school in Salem is called Witchcraft Heights? That's fucking rad.

Never gonna happen. Neither the democrats or republicans would let something like that come to pass, it would set a precedent their donors wouldn't like.

Purge your filters and redownload. It's a problem on your end.

So pirate the shows. Easy peasy.

She left us. And hey, if you don't want to be in someone's life, you have the right to just leave. And I'm not saying she should have stayed, if she wanted to go. All I'm saying is, maybe your kids deserve at least a hug goodbye, mom. Or maybe even a note? Especially since we didn't have a dad either?

Good. Two years is too short of a time for a hardware generation.

Well, you should be using a VPN for privacy anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem.

I agree. I'm just saying, he's not guilty of treason.

Awesome, I like what I'm hearing on both counts!

The blahaj admin fucked up, and rather than admitting they fucked up, they decided to drag the issue into the public sphere and infer the other instance supports CSAM. And don't give me any bullshit about how that's not really what they are doing, because that's exactly how they worded their post. I'm guessing they did it because they wanted to create drama and play the victim, but whatever the reason, everyone else has every right to criticize them for their actions. What they did was pretty fucking shitty, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I like to refer to that corporation as "Little Brother".

One of the best things you can get on some emulators are the CRT filters you can apply to give it that authentic look.

When you look up their history, it's pretty wild. The former owner was a conservative that was pardoned by Trump for embezzling millions of dollars from his company. And the current editor was involved in far-right politics before taking his position, which explains why they source some of their content from the New York Post. Not to be outdone, the current owner was investigated by police for allegedly giving Netanyahu positive coverage in exchange for legislation that would hurt a rival newspaper.

The right-wing leader of the right-wing party that has control over the supposed best intelligence agency in the world, which somehow failed to prevent an attack that Hamas broadcasted on social media, is side-stepping responsibility. Shocking.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it came out that their party knew the attack was coming, and let it happen to galvanize the public behind them.

Or how about I continue to use uBlock Origin and do neither.
