To be honest, the fact that such immature software is capable of being a viable alternative to one of the biggest websites on the internet is already super impressive.
Let's see where we will head in a couple of years.
I still can't believe it will actually happen...RIF was Reddit on mobile phone for me. Killing it is like killing reddit itself. Well, yeah, good luck
there is lemmynsfw.com for you already
Maybe they just ran out of money and their hosting provider shut them down? Reddit was so desperate with these API fees
Uber, Doordash, all kinds of gigs
It doesn't look like we have the same css feature yet, but you can start your own lemmy instance just to host your community and customize the hell out of it.
Hurray! My first post here
Thanks /u/spez!
I expect it to be a letdown, just hope not a super huge one.
I'm seeing this aswell. I think it's safe to just ignore it for now.
I just installed Jerboa and it totally kicks ass! I will miss rif but with such a nice replacement I can just comfortably switch to lemmy
Why only 15 years?! Why can do better!
I had no idea it's a thing. But now I hate it
Hope @ruud is prepared for Jun 30 when RIF will go down... redditors will flood us
And what the entire west is going to do about it? Express deep concerns? Deliver 10 more outdated tanks to Ukraine?
Totally irrelevant because:
