Yeah so many people misunderstand data on ActivityPub.

According to material online to become blooded they need to hunt and kill a xenomorph to mark themselves with the acidic blood. This allows them privilege to hunt solo.

So the Predator film (1&2) Yautja wouldn't have been un blooded predators.

The AVP films though.

Plus people will hit you with a chair if you don't use it and Firefox.

Bit different to being in close confines on one or more planes and a court room buddy.

I had no idea what a tankie was until I read the comments here.

This 100%. Before Starlink my folks in the Outback had dial up speeds because Satellite is terrible and affected by weather dramatically.

Now they can work from home instead of driving hours every day.

This. Steam also offers reviews, achievements, workshop, communities, groups, streaming, etc, etc

Melbourne claims to be home to the best coffee culture in Australia.

This, the real threat is the amount of content that federates out possibly hurting others servers' performance as their enterprise kit will scale better.

If people leave to run their own piracy lemmy depending on where they host it they will probably get raided and have no lemmy.

The commenter obviously don't understand that at lemmy.world it hosts copies of content outside its instance which is why you block communities if you don't defend the whole instance.

Reddit had automod which was highly configurable.

You can run tdarr which is automated transcoding.

https://home.tdarr.io/

That’s not true. There is https://browse.feddit.de and https://fediverser.project. There are communities about new communities. You can browse an user profile to see what communities they subscribe to. All of these are better methods to find new content than browsing “all”.

Until these are built into the UI, how is a user supposed to find them when they just want to start using Lemmy? They don't search for such sites, they browse all. The reason sites like reddit work is because they cater to the non-technical crowd.

You are thinking like a developer and not like someone worried about the user experience, this is not a dig but a key part of the problem. The root cause of users not coming to Lemmy in the thousands is the UX. Fix it and normies can use it and post content themselves.

I'd use pairdrop over this so I don't need to install it on all my devices.

I work in IT so I am aware of this. Maybe you've not worked in enough places that just build incompatible (cr)apps?

And sure, just go outside our locked down machine policies and install Firefox and unapproved extensions. That will do down well.

You don't get their ip when they post from other instances. I'm surprised this hasn't resulted in defed.

Immich-go is stupid easy.

Just dump all your takeout zips in the same folder as immich-go and run the import. Lmk if you need help.

It ingested 60+ zips with 100gb of photos when I used it.

" And they don't track every minute thing you do and act like malware to try to make you use their products."

LOL ok

Completely expected tbh

Yeah a lot of channels used to be actual discussion now it's all culture war bs.

Sounded nasty so I looked out up. Seems it wasn't intentional.

This is how I am protesting. For all my subs, we have switched off all our moderation tools.

The engineers would die of old age before they even caught up to it.

Never mention you don't use Linux or Firefox otherwise the neckbeards will come at you.

Ty

Last thing they need is our users. Threads is already bigger.

Code might be open source but the training material and data pipeline is important too.

LineageOS on the Shield? Any drawbacks?

What? Reddit automod is not a source for porn. What would be happening is the large quantity of content it reacts to there.

It literally reads your config in your wiki and performs actions based on that. The porn communities using it are using it to moderate their subs. You can look at the post history. https://www.reddit.com/user/AutoModerator It is commenting on posts IN those communities as a reaction to triggers but isn't posting porn (unless they put in their config)

Not worth it if you don't moderate on reddit but read the how to docs for reddit automod, it is an excellent tool for spam management and the source is open prior to reddit acquiring it and making it shit. https://www.reddit.com/wiki/automoderator/full-documentation

Is there a post with all the different enabled UIs?

This community has some of the worst biased tech readers.

We have Wing in Australia and gotta say getting small tech delivered or medicine by drone is very convenient. It gets lowered instead of dropped.

I get that these need some sort of access point in the normal web for the average user but it blows my mind these sorts of chats aren't on the darkweb on a Foss app.

The next Total Annihilation is going to be balls to the wall good. Check the trailers.

Storm Gate and Zero Space are being made by ex Blizz staff. Both in alpha.

RTS is back on the menu, boys.

The other thing is SIDS, if the baby can't lift their head from a suffocation position they suffocate.

We have ours sleep in a cosleep crib beside the bed so you get the closeness and can make contact in the night.

  1. The docker install doesn't take a long time, if you read the instructions you can download their YAML file and run only one command. But on the GitHub they have instructions for desktop app mode if you don't want docker.
  2. It'll take up more resources outside docker but it's a small PHP app.
  3. No it isn't.
  4. Have a look at the examples, if you are not familiar with docker you might need to look at the embedded desktop app as you'll run into this issue with any alternative in docker.

Storage, YouTube has way more data (crap) uploaded to it than vimeo.
