Proud to be in the statistic! Jesus freak to agnostic and very anti organized religion. Glad I got away from religion, I didn't realize what a drain on my life it was until I got out. I'm upset at the years I wasted, but live and learn I guess!

That doesn't make you a weirdo, that's pretty normal. The weird Disney adults are the ones that have been to Disney A LOT and are obsessed with it. When I lived in FL I had a coworker that would drive like 2 hrs each way to go to Disney multiple times a week! She wasted all her money on Disney shit, and it was 50% of anything she talked about. Her husband even got a job there so they could be "more involved". Those are the weirdos.

My god, my stomach hurts and my chest feels tight just from reading that. I went to Cave of the winds in Colorado a few years back and they had a smaller tunnel that you could crawl through to get a sense of what it was like. It was probably like 20ft long and big enough for the pretty hefty guide to get through. I got up to it and noped the fuck out.

I was going to mention the IR blaster. I had one on my LG G4 & G5 if I remember correctly. It was so cool! I was so bummed when they stopped having it.

Idk my wife and I are very secure financially so we don't worry about most things but I am still in awe of the increase in grocery prices. We're in the states, and for our basic non perishable items I order from Walmart. For meat and produce I typically buy from local grocery stores due to quality. Sometimes I'll forget or have to buy things from the grocery store that I'd normally buy at Walmart, and those things are AT LEAST 50% more. In some cases I have seen 100% increase in prices, and an overall increase of at least 25 % from the previous year, which is insane. I have no idea how families on a strict budget are managing groceries, let alone other living expenses. $11.5k does seem slightly exaggerated, but not by much.

Idk i really liked high school, all the fun and minimal responsibilities. I wasn't even popular but had a great friend group. Classes were fun, most teachers were cool. Would I go back? Hell nah. I love my life now at 35 even more.

Oooo I actually just got a new robot and named him S8AN, cause it's model is the S8, and who doesn't like to say Satan is mopping the kitchen ? My previous ones were Fernando and Fernandos (dos like 2 in Spanish, which I thought was pure genius ha). Fernandos is still in use, Fernando has been retired to robot heaven after a few years of diligent service. 🫡

I lived in Cookeville for a few years, glad I got the fuck outta TN, especially Cookeville. So many racists and homophobes there.

Good, thats where it should be if they designed it for the front to fall off.

Which day is?? Or is it not one specific day of the year?

Yep, That's why I've fully moved to lemmy.

They're wasting away! How dare you.

Born and raised in FL , glad I left before all the maga shit.

I have wax melts from the same company that I got around Halloween time called "Goblin Deez Nuts".

I always find it interesting when people target Chick-fil-A... Like why them specifically and not all the others? Especially the other companies that go all rainbow in June and have spots in pride parades. https://www.dataforprogress.org/accountable-allies-pride

I interact a bit more just to support the community. I don't have much to say though, so that's all I can contribute 🤣

Similar story about dating someone. I'm gay and she was my first serious girlfriend. Everything was cool just dating but then things got more serious and she wanted to get married. I didn't, but I was also young, had low self esteem, was inexperienced in dating, and didn't know how to cut things off. Over time I just realized she wasn't the type of person I wanted to spend my life with. So I kept pushing back the wedding date. We were together 4yrs and about 4months out from the wedding when I found out she had cheated on me. That was finally my wtf are you doing moment and I peaced the fuck out. I often think back about how miserable I would've been had I married her, and I'm so thankful I got out when I did. Whew.

Edit: oh shit I also forgot how badly she wanted kids, like that was all she talked about and one of our biggest disagreements. Thank God I never got talked into that. Props to being a lesbian and kids not being an "oops" possibility haha. Childfree life for me!

My last one was similar, but smaller screen. LG Rumor

I mean I guess it's love, but it's who I love, not the just fact that I love. And it's definitely who I have romantic "love" for, not just any type of love.

Oh yep, my bad. I see now how it could sound like I was a gay guy 🤣

There was a subreddit for this called dogfree I believe, kinda like childfree. So I'm sure it's a community that would have a following. I'm a dog lover, but I get they're not for everyone.

I heard a dude pronounce meme 'mee mee' once like 10 years ago, and that created a core memory for me for some reason.

Wait, this doesn't even have any data to show if black Friday is or isn't the most violent shopping day. You just say it isn't without giving anything to actually back it up. Or did I miss something?

I wasn't asking what black Friday is, I was asking which day is the most violent.
