On the phone, Musk said that he was looking at his laptop and could see “the entire war unfolding” through a map of Starlink activity. “This was, like, three minutes before he said, ‘Well, I had this great conversation with Putin,’ ” the senior defense official told me. “And we were, like, ‘Oh, dear, this is not good.’ ”

It's like the Elon India Tea Company. Strange to think we've got so many individuals that rival any sort of elected officials and that our government is becoming aware of this. Elon in particular seems to have the US over several barrels, space, battlefield communications, recharge stations, and now Twitter and AI possibly from the bottom of a k hole.

Wild, also: I forget how good the New Yorker is. That whole article was fascinating. I feel like I learned a lot and it was interesting.

Oh, he got cut off.

In that case shooting up some cars and ramming another seems pretty ok. I mean, what else are you going to do?

Ikr I thought we fixed this. I also thought it was in the northern hemisphere.

“There’s too much identity tied up in one’s work, so that is lost [after retirement]. And then there’s the cultural script of what maleness means in in our culture, so men just won’t admit or won’t receive care for depression because of that sense that it’s somehow not what a man does.”

What use is a cog that can't cog anymore? Caring for elders is not built into our value system and not protected by our economic system.

Hell, it may be the only way to retire in a few more years.

This AI thing may catch on

It's crazy to think how much damage law enforcement had on the black community's moral leadership of the sixties and seventies. I guess I'd never really thought about the leadership of the generation immediately following.

Tupac absolutely had a lot of charisma and a moral authority. Shit, his name is still known around the world. It is kind of wild to think how he could have matured into that role, especially considering the influence that hip hop has been able to muster socially.

I don't mean to throw shade at anyone, but imagine the impact a prominent hip hop voice could have today with a message that went against the socioeconomic grain and sort of harkened back to some of the voices of the civil rights movement driving real progress.

All Americans, not just the black community that was hit the hardest and most violently, lost a lot to cointelpro and the state behind it.

This is probably a pretty good point. His mouth and any fact seldom meet.

A lot of people are saying that.

Americans bark, but we don't bite capital's hand.

Honestly, probably resellers. I use a third party to buy t mobile phone service. Compared to me trying t mobile's home Internet direct, it's a lot better.

But those big three have nothing to do other than cost cut. It's not like they're competing or entering new markets or anything.

I think one of the things I struggle with is: how much should I be concerned about this?

Like, it's wildly concerning, but aren't these just the same people that always thought this way saying the quiet part out loud?

I kind of personally feel that it's the death throws of the more gentrified version of this brand of politics. The women are more family focused, men are goal oriented demographics reflect reality while ignoring systemic issues brand. It's kindly thought of as old fashioned, but increasingly described as ignorant or unsophisticated.

It feels more like the violent lashing out of a cornered animal that knows it is about to be lunch.

The money behind it is worrying, but it feels like these people are kicking and screaming because they're being dragged forward.

Idk

I believe a fairly wealthy landowner heir as well.

YouTube music does need a lot of work.

How would that even work?

I must not be up on my pop culture.

That's two out of three!

When I was like 9 years old I had steak and a chocolate milk at a fancy restaurant (fancy to nine year old me).

I threw up and have never sought that particular combination out again.

It's been literally decades and I just got that weird extra saliva kick in the back of my throat that says I won't be trying it again tonight.

I think this is specifically talking about users.

I bet businesses pay a lot more that 130 billion at 3% per transaction.

The Nashville elite are used to running Nashville. It's a tight knit club that everyone knows not to defy. It's been that way for a long long time. It's not even a just republican thing, it's a certain Nashville republicans thing.

That's why they act like spoiled children when someone says anything other than "thank you".

Thank you for saying this. The price is set at what the market will bear.

A sonar pulse can literally boil a person in the water.

I'm pretty sure those are illegal.

The change America needs

China has the infrastructure to produce, the population to produce it, and the government to build more. I don't think there's really anybody that can compete with that.

Ikr Draco wasn't a good guy.

It's the second paragraph on the post.

I don't care for Mitch's politics, but I doubt I'll like who comes after any better.

I mean, he's not president and he's got more indictments than you can shake a stick at.

I think they want to invade Mexico and build a Canadian border wall too.

They sound like meth heads.

Well, they move fast and break things well...

If police and proud boys have them...

I do use mine for target practice though. I shot competitively when I was younger and really appreciate the skill aspect. I have fond memories of my grandpa teaching me how to shoot, but hunting has never been on my radar.

January sixth, probably played a pretty big role in me actually "pulling the trigger" tbh. That and a PB demonstration down the street from me.

If I was honest, it's basically a super dangerous bowling ball to me.

Thanks for this lol

100% I hope McCarthy punches him though.

I don't see why they don't just ask their parents for money?

It's like people don't even know how to take care of themselves.

I mean, when you break it down like that, I guess I don't see how I missed it before. Lol

I think that Twitter is good for footage of emergency-type situations.

All that is happening is why Twitter was never the right place for this type of information.

Lazy journalism dictated by corporate bean counters and now we have whatever x is.

I don't see a good reason for originalism. It seems stupid to me.

I'm not sure which is worse.

I think Skyrim is a pretty cool guy. He kills dragons and doesn't afraid of anything
