I have been using Firefox since the release of Firefox 57 aka Firefox Quantum in 2017. I love the browser and most of sites run well in firefox. But there have been a few cases where I had to use a chromium based browser.
Firefox + Ublock origin is a great and awesome combo.
I also use Firefox on android. It is okay, but I sometimes feel it is slow at loading some sites. But it is not a big deal.
Instead of using Gmaps. You can try
Oh, also Firefox is the only mainstream browser on Android that supports installing extensions.
But seriously, the website does need a revamp.
Look at the linux mint website, it is so clean, modern and easy to use.
I use an app called Seal. You could think of it as a fronted for youtubedl. The interface is really beautiful and you can download videos from many different websites.
Another one is ViMusic, this is just an app that streams songs from YouTube music without any ads. edit: fixed spelling of vimusic
Tutanota has limited features and i dont like the UI. But it is okay.
Try to go for protonmail
I ike konsole
What is distrobox?
Reddit has typing indicators. I did not know that.
But why?
My brain is on fire seeing this
What is good about having this ?
I agree with you. Matrix and xmpp already work pretty well. There isn't really need for another messaging app. There are many other messaging apps as well.
I also switched to linux after using windows for more than 10 years. I still havent gotten used to linux yet. There are still a lot of things I struggle with.
I kind of had difficulty setting up my printer, I tried to install the HP drivers but it did not install. But none of this installation was required because linux supports driverless printing throught the cups service which I wish I knew earlier.
Another is the use of vi text editor, I couldn' t figure out how to even edit the file and save the fileš¤£.
Yeah many more examples. It is a bumpy ride. But it is all worth it.
Lolš¤£ This company deserves it.
So are there any laptops or computers using RISC? First time hearing about this. (edit: fixed typo)
Yep 720p is just HD.
You are a brave user, aren't you?
Funkwhale. It supports federation as well.
Yes. Go ahead. It is safe. I have done it before.
Sewage system and wastewater treatment
Nice joke. That is clever
PixelDroid is the main app for Pixelfed. It is not the official app, that is still in development.
You can also login to pixelfed from https://tusky.app
It doesn't work automatically.
Go to a youtube video There is an option to view the transcript of the video near to the description in three dot menu Copy the transcription and paste it into chatgpt.
Try magic earth. It is good and privacy friendly.
Just enter the domain of your pixelfed account. Then enter username and password.
Pixelfed also has the mastodon api built in so tusky can be used.
Really great to hear this news.
Yes. I agree.
Libretube is good. But it still in beta. Sometimes videos just don't play. So i have Newpipe installed as a backup.
I understand a lot of people are mad at me for posting this. I just wanted to share my thoughts. That is all.
Lol... this also happens to me
I use Debian 12. I very recently switched to it from windows after using windows for about 10 years or more.
What do I like about Debian when compared to Windows?
I really enjoy using the terminal. Still a beginner. Yes learning the commands is tough but sometimes I just prefer using the terminal instead of using a gui.
Everything else about debian is also great.
What is the advantage of self hosting an NTP server?
After all, it just tells time
Debian has gotten so much easier to install since the release of bookworm, so I wouldn' t be surprised more new users show interest to try it out.
fixed typo
This is the best option. Love the app. But always remember to keep a backup of your tokens.
There is also ente.io authenticator app. It is available on fdroid. I think it supoorts cloud synchronisation as well.
I really like Jerboa and Thunder.
Voyager is also great.
Thanks. Yes I am trying to eat.
That is cool.
Is this thing even real?
I would suggest using an aux cable instead.
I remember reading a comment on youtube on another video which mentioned that the download page is an IQ test to determine if a user is worthy of using Debian.
The downloader page has improved after the release of bookworm
