Aaand? People always sent screenshots of posts from other social media on social media. Nothing new.

I'm not even a linguist but reading this little snippet already makes me want to smash my head against a wall.

C'mon, be more optimistic. It's actually only half empty!

Why not both? :D

Okay, you guys win... Mine isn't nearly as disturbing as yours, but it's pretty weird nonetheless. Had to do a search for this one as it's been a while since I got it recommended by the algorithm. I just randomly found this screenshot in my files again and decided to post it.

Here is the corresponding vid: https://youtu.be/X5znuUjbaFs

Nice try, FBI!

Wait till you find out about world music

I kinda relate to that.

I think it's hard to label something so complex, intimate and psychological as gender. I've become quite envy of women's fashion and I'm still not sure why. I think it's because of my need to express myself, and not really about the gender part. But then again, there are some styles you can't pull of with a man's figure. But I like my sex. I like my masc body and I've never felt dysphoria. I don't want to change. But I feel so limited when looking at men's fashion. Maybe that's because it is? So I'm just envy at the options women can choose from? That would mean that I don't agree with the gender role of men, not the gender. Or maybe it's just a twisted sense of heterosexuality. The fascination of women's beauty through clothing style. I don't know what to make of these feelings. If I could decide my sex/body every morning, maybe I'd choose a female one from time to time.

Still cis tho...

Sorry for the random rant πŸ™ˆ

I half-agree, as it's not only about not eating meat that day. It also makes people realize that there's actually good dishes you can do that taste good without a big, fat piece of meat. That might be obvious to you, but many people still don't accept that fact. Having a meatless day offers an opportunity to showcase vegetarian lifestyle to non-vegetarians. And once people realize that "hey, that's not as bad as I've thought!", they're gonna make vegetable stir-fry next Saturday too.

Took me a moment. Thought it was a queer flag for a sec lol

this is awesome lmao

What about a hypothetical country that is shaped like a donut, and the hole is filled with four small countries? One of the countries must have the color of one of its neighbors, no?

Genuinely, can we stop downvoting OP's comments and post? No matter how little you can relate to this, it's not justified to downvote someone not understanding why others find this weird. My god, this is No Stupid Questions, the last place where we should punish someone for confessing something that is important for them!

Be humane. Treat other people's struggles with respect.

There's an argument to be made that it might help clarifying when speaking to someone. Consider these two German sentences:

"Der rote Apfel" – the red apple

"Die rote Ampel" – the red traffic light

Imagine a noisy environment, a quiet speaker or some other problem and you only understand

"Die rote A***el" – the red x***xx

In a language like English, you don't have enough information to understand the meaning. The German gender system helps to direct your possible matching words (Ampel or Apfel) to the correct one, as "Die rote Apfel" is grammatically incorrect.

Another point I want to make is that it isn't "being worse in about a bazillion other" use cases. Native speakers don't really have an issue with noun class systems. It's just very unintuitive and tedious for non-native language learners to memorize all the genders of nouns.

Well, if you follow the principles of propositional logic, the only implies that Be Gay => Don't Understand This. It doesn't imply Don't Understand This => Be Gay. So people who don't understand this don't necessary have to be gay. But all gay people have to struggle understanding this.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk

Tbf, trans women are only a small percentage of all athletes in the women's category. So it's not so weird that none has won yet.
