I think it would be better to say "Twitter, currently branded as X" it is both useful and makes it look like it is just a cringy phase a teenager might go through temporarily. So you should just ignore the change and it will eventually resolve itself.

Yes, but that kinda defeats the point of an open knowledge library for all. This is a problem that should be fixed with legislation and not artificial blocking. We shouldn't punish the unfortunate for being stuck with the stupid.

That's the thing though. When we schedule those days off, it is more of a friendly notice than a request. I am going, you can't stop me. If you would rather have to replace an employee and retrain them, be my guest. Its not worth it for them unless you do something easily replaceable.

Corporate suicide is so hot right now, all the cool companies are doing it. Are you really even trying if you can't feel the pain of the bullet in your foot?

I have a spare 100 or so Terabytes and I can fit roughly another quarter petabyte in my server. I would like to help. I will look more into this potentially tomorrow when I have some free time. The preservation of knowledge is too important.

They literally built a gallows. Yet somehow say it was peaceful.

Its not easy to build a social media app, forking it won't make it any easier to solve this particular problem. Joining forces to tackle an inevitable problem is the only solution. The Lemmy devs are more than willing to accept pull requests for software improvements.

Surprisingly this is not the first time I have seen a sentence like this.

They aren't really wrong either. We have our own propaganda problems too.

Imagine how many people would get vaccinated if it kept people like him away? They would sell like methamphetamine.

A bit ironic as he never pays for things either.

It is okay to be gay and have orgies, you do you. However, the hypocrisy is the real issue.

He may have been sued unjustly, but he also isn't currently a paste at the bottom of the ocean, so who is really laughing now?

Scientist: Hey Doc, you gonna use that foreskin you just cut?

Doc: No, go right ahead!

Scientist: thanks.

This is how I imagine this conversation goes down.

His shoe came off. By the laws of the land, he clearly died from this dangerous stunt. Be safe out there guys!

#FriendsDon'tYankFriendsToDeath

Maybe the internet striving for better accessibility was a mistake. Ignorance is bliss.

This girl is playing 4D chess while I am trying to figure out how to get in the door.

Changing the way certain calls are handled? Considering the current way they are handled, there can't be much worse than already.

The current flow chart checks to see if the suspect is dead. If they aren't dead, it goes to "can we change that?", and then if that doesn't work it goes to " are you really sure you can't change it?"

Lose their life? Comrade, of course not. You have been listening to too much Ukrainian propaganda. Now please come sit with me and enjoy a drink. This new stuff is to die for.

It sounds stupid, but kids are stupid. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a police car. Not a cop, the car. Sometimes dreams need to stay dreams.

I have to know, what inspired this presumably premade art? Is this normally a problem Bi Goth Girls have? I believe this has great meme potential.

In this case, at least one.

He was! Yet he wanted to go take a nap after just finishing the other ribs he made.

If it looks like a duck, walks like duck, and quacks like a duck. They might just be a UI designer.

If you want someone to smile, you don't tell them to smile, that will just piss them off. The real solution is to try to make them smile by cheering them up. Ideally with something funny or wholesome. Who knows? They might really appreciate it and be a bit more fond of you.

It is Big Godot pulling the strings to entice people to jump ship to their free and open source game engine. The plan is dastardly, but effective. Can't use other game engines if there are no other engines left standing.

I appreciate both of your advice.I think you are right about the confidence thing. I will need to increase that. I just don't understand why she would set the idea her doing her own thing and then immediately abandoning it if she didn't need to do it in the first place.

I have been waiting for the results of project silica for awhile. The fact there are potential alternatives is very exciting to hear. The hoard is not getting any smaller.

I generally agree with that sentiment. However, it is easier said than done when you are lonely and you found a diamond in the rough.

We don't truely work together either. At the end of the month, I will not be going back to the other building. We will not interact in any capacity at work.

Would you mind informing those of us who do not understand the dynamics of the relationship what happened to make things so bitter? Is it a one or two time event or a series of continuous bitter rivalry?

Outdated hardware isn't really as important on a phone than it is as a PC. Unless you are gaming on your phone, phone hardware is plenty powerful enough these days for the grand majority of tasks.

The software updates are the biggest concern and they intend to do 10 years of updates. That is more than long enough for this device before it becomes obsolete.

I had to cancel my gym membership because my laziness took over, let's be honest. I called expecting a huge battle and prepared for a trek. I said "Hi, my name is Bread. I would like to cancel my gym membership." They said okay and immediately hung up. No new bill the next month.

A bit rude, but I won't argue with results. Straight to the point.

Something something Streisand Effect.

Have you ever seen a redwood in person? That is a tree that commands your attention. I hope to see one someday.

There will always be vigilantism when the powers that be cannot or do not protect us from great threats. Can't say I expected the furries to be among the first to lead the charge, but they have my respect for the work they have done against this threat to democracy.

If she is willing to ask for my number and meet me on my off days to chat, it is not a stretch to want to see what her motivations are and if they match my own. In our case it would likely be more frowned upon than firable. That's a chance I am willing to take if she is.

Also we don't really work together so she is not my boss. I just happened to help out for a short time. She may never see me at work again for all I know.

I like your answer.

That's when we figure out that this is the path that lead him to flip flop completely hating everything you taught. You went back to stop Hitler only to be the thing that caused his reign of terror. Life would have that kind of irony.

They do be looking pretty tasty right about now.
