Trapped in a sub amongst the wreckage of the Titanic is nightmare fuel. I don't think I would have even came up with that on my own, I thought they only send robotic subs down that far.

The guy in this CBS video points out how shitty the sub "seems." Dude drives the thing with a Madcatz controller!

Win key+shift+s brings up a more advanced screenshot menu. It defaults to cropped screenshot, where you can select which part of the screen to save.

Last I heard he was actually polling higher than DeSantis is among republicans. He's a Kennedy so that's going to get him so following alone. RFK Jr has actually done some incredible environmental law work that has earned him some fans. Anti-vax rhetoric was originally a hippie left-wing movement so he's got that going for him.

Personally, I think its just that people see "Jr." and assume he's a younger candidate than Biden. He's 70.

Last year I quit cooking after nearly 15 years and got a job at a semiconductor factory. I was making more money on day one and the work is soooo much better. Went from having no breaks to 1.8 hours of break time. No vacation to 5 weeks PTO. I never have to stay past my scheduled time out.

I'll never go back.

Imo the more fucked up the tomato looks the better it tastes.

There's definitely a divide in his fans. There are the old Opie & Anthony people who mostly just listened for comedy. The pandemic changed a lot, Rogan started with his vaccine stuff and that attracted a lot of MAGA types.

Comedy in general has taken a right-wing shift. During the COVID lockdowns touring comedians could only perform in areas that didn't have extreme restrictions, now comedians like Bill Burr and Tom Segura are incredibly popular with conservatives. I saw Bill a couple of years ago and he was making jokes about about conservatives and a large section of the crowd was unironically agreeing with his dumb caricatures.

The thing is that if they cheap out on one area then you have to think "what else did they skimp on?" Like if they're that careless about what you can see you should be terrified of what you can't.

And it'd be one thing if we were all just laughing at some tech bro fulfilling his wacky dream and using some odd parts, its a totally different conversation now that we know the sub imploded. The guy probably cut every corner possible and if those people with him had said "hey, this sub uses shitty consumer grade parts, I'm out" they would be alive still.

He's polling worse than fucking RFK jr, he stands no chance. YoUr'Re AlL JuSt SiTtInG tHeRe! We're more than a year away from the general election, which he will never make it to because there are months of primaries before where Trump will assuredly win.

Very cool

Not very legal

The reasons were less tangible before. Taking away popular apps will have a much bigger impact than some subreddit drama.

Iirc he talked about running cam girl operations to get rich in his hustlers academy lessons.

Desktops are better in almost every aspect by a longshot. They're fully upgradable, can adequately cool the components, and deliver like twice as much power to the processors.

You don't think they made up for it a little with 8 million+ dead soldiers fighting the Nazis? And ya kno, getting to Berlin first and ending the European theater of WWII?

I'm just a Greek American, but I would assume it's mostly a cultural thing more than an actual belief in God. I was an ordained alter boy and my church was kind of a "training" congregation for years before we got a permanent priest. A lot of the guys who came through used the seminary as a way to get out of whatever Balkan backwater they grew up in.

I beat it for the first time over the pandemic and was totally blown away, instantly one of my favorite games of all time.

The soundtrack is fucking amazing, there's the youTube channel Lavos with endless mixes of it. Corridors of time never gets old.

Lemmy has been around for 4 years compared to Reddit's 18. Compare Lemmy's current state to 2009 Reddit for a somewhat more accurate look.

The same regime has been in power 24 years.

Its a custom built sub, the guy used parts from RV world and steers it with a Logitech pc controller.

Iirc Chihuahuas share the most DNA with pre Columbian wild dogs of the Americas. Clocking in at a whopping 2%.

Imagine if the lights are still on and they can see the titanic wreck as they lay stranded.

Yeah this is insane. I wonder how many private jets are headed towards New Zealand today.

The UN voted years ago that astroid mining is allowed.

TBF I don't think they planned on seeing an iceberg that far south either.

You linked a kbin article somehow or there was a glitch with your link.

Sure they use "Xbox controllers," the difference in build quality between an authentic Xbox controller and most 3rd party controllers is pretty noticeable.

Doesn't work on US networks IIRC.

Maybe they set sail from somewhere in Mass.? Their website appears to be down atm.

kbin is working much better than lemmy on that front.

Can I reply to beehaw posts from kbin?

Edit: It worked!

It could be possible to make a different controller profile for those sections, switch the pressure controls to the triggers maybe?

Maybe you need to change your access point to mint's? I drove from Oregon to Michigan and and the only bad spot was in areas that just flat out didn't have any service. It was spotty at first but I found that I needed to change the AP in my network settings.

All the MVNO are deprioritized, Verizon's policies are the worst of the big 3. T-Mobile's policy allows for much more traffic so it's not nearly as noticable. AT&T MVNOs have almost no difference between themselves and proper AT&T monthly service.

That's a huuuuuge problem seeing that Nvidia has like an 80% gpu market share.

I saw someone who had a Nintendo DS emulator loaded up and it looked sooooo cool.

I feel more like we're experiencing a new epoch of the internet and society really. It's not just reddit changing it's API, it seems that everything is changing around us and reddit is just one facet of that. The pandemic ending, the rise of AI, new threats of war, fentanyl cheaper than soda, and unprecedented corporate greed are creating a world that we haven't seen before and it's strange for everyone.

I just got a Pixel 7, had the Fold in my cart originally but thankfully did a little bit of research into foldy phones. One reviewer said to be careful if you go out to a beach or anywhere with sand because it can get into it and damage the inside screen. I go to the beach all the time.

The seam over the hinge looks hideous in regular use too. Too noticable of a bump. I don't trust the hinge to stay 100% tight forever either. It reminds me of the first Moto Droid, the keyboard lock often wouldn't lock so it would just slide freely.

You can play nearly anything through proton by adding the game's .exe as a non steam game. ProtonDB is a valuable resource.. You can install Mint alongside windows anyway and just boot winders for the games that don't run on Linux.

FAA approved it to be tested. Not for mass production or for a layman to use it. They probably got one flight plan approved.

The x-box controller has a much higher build quality and uses xinput so there is far less likely to be software issues.
