Pizza Hut made over $6 billion last year, you’d think they could afford to pay their drivers.

Our schools are generally underfunded and hardly anyone with any real power gives two shits.
Just guessing here, but I’d assume it’s because the unborn have potential and the bad guys had their chance. I don’t agree, but that’s what I assume being around some people like that…
Can we stop with the fucking ads please?
Trump, however, had other ideas.
That one line was sandwiched between a video ad and a box asking for my email address. I’d rather have zero access to news stories without a subscription than to have all the goddamned pop ups and online ads that break up the story. The worst are the fucking pop up videos that auto play and follow you down the screen. WHOTHEFUCKWANTSTHATSHIT?!?
I signed up for Nextdoor to see ONE MESSAGE, then I cancelled my account and unsubscribed multiple times. I still get at least 2 emails per day from them.
I’m not ethically opposed to eating meat, but fuck industrial animal farming.
Perhaps it’s because a) it works, and b) they know republican policy is less popular. They could lie about policy (well, more than they already have), but I think they’re going to save that for after the first debate, personally.
It would be their pleasure.

Just going off of what the first google result for those two terms says, I don’t agree with your conclusion that some of those countries are ethnostates. If, however, any or all of them did have a ruling party that included an ethnic background in order to join, then I’d be against that government.
It’s also possible to have a nuanced take on the subject. For example, if ethnostate “A” oppresses and kills members of a different ethnicity, while ethnostate “B” merely oppresses a different ethnicity, one can be against both governments while only being vocal about their opposition to ethnostate “A”, and not necessarily be amoral or hypocritical.
Do Ted Cruz next.
I got mine with their HD lenses, no-line bifocals with antiglare coating, and the total came to $135 shipped.
And they’re still non-flushable, despite what the package says.
Most baby wipes and similar materials aren’t designed to be flushed—“flushable” products like wipes do not readily disperse upon flushing and actually remain in a solid state while traveling through the sewer system. They may clog your pipes at home resulting in costly visits from your plumber. They may get caught in the public wastewater system, which can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to regional pumping equipment leading to higher sewer bills for us all. While many of these products might masquerade as “flushable” and “sewer friendly”, don’t be fooled!
This is why the US needs to switch to metric.
The bullet "nicking" his ear isn't possible because (due to speed) it would have ripped a chunk off.
Please demonstrate this. If a paper target can get hit by these rounds every day in target practice and not get blown to pieces, why would an ear (especially if the ear was only “nicked” by the bullet) be any different?
JD isn’t talking to people who think stuff through like that, he’s talking to racists and they don’t care if it’s true or not, it gives them an excuse to feel that way.
“Right to arbitration”
Oh, man, so many. There’s the obvious like Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon or Rush’s 2112, but Rust in Peace by Megadeth is superb, In Step by Stevie Ray Vaughan as well. Muse, however, has a few albums that are incredible, especially when you’re in the headspace to pick out little details. Their Black Holes and Revelations album is a banger from front to back, Simulation Theory is Velvety and interesting, Drones is jarring in a very good way, and The Resistance is harmony-rich and beautiful.
Also, I’m not familiar with the whole album, but the song White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane has one of the best vocal performances ever.
What could Trump do about it? It would be up to the courts, and both sides would have to argue the legality of the orders. It already happened with the “non Muslim ban Muslim ban” Trump tried to enact when he was president previously.
A “national divorce” would mean civil war, and nobody wants that. Even the people that want that don’t really want the reality of a war on US soil.
Maybe he’s looking for protection when he gets exiled.
I mean sure, I pretty much agree with you, but…
There were so many fucking trumpers hanging out at the parking lot of my voting site last time, I don’t want to be (or for my family to) around that shit.
No, I’ve got an adblocker. Even the sites that block them still have chunks of empty boxes that break up the text.
And why is it on me to block the ads? Why can’t news organizations just not be shitty? I understand they need revenue, but that doesn’t mean I should have to comb through shit to find the story.
This seems like lazy reporting in an effort to be first…
“On its own, the United States Constitution contains hundreds of clauses, any one of which can be the subject of a lifetime’s study,” McAfee wrote.
Why is this included? It seems like it would be important to the story, but there’s no context or explanation…
It’s a little like advertising chocolate with 20% fewer insect pieces.
I’m pretty sure none of the people behind this keep the sabbath, either.
You have not demonstrated that simply having citizens that live outside of the confines of their home state means that they come from an ethnostate, and even if it was, pointing that out doesn’t make the problems I (or anyone else) has with what the Israeli government is doing go away; hence the nuance of opposing ethnostates in general. If all the Jews in the world voluntarily moved to Israel, eliminating the diaspora, would that make Israel any less of an ethnostate?
In the case of the Israeli ethnostate, which I believe you are inferring things I have not implied, one can be opposed to the form of government in charge without being opposed to Jews having a country. Israel can exist without apartheid, without stealing land and other property from people of different ethnicities within (and without) their borders, and they can defend themselves without the wholesale slaughter and other human rights violations we’ve seen in the most recent conflict. One can call for a change in leadership positions, the leadership itself, dissolution of the current leadership party, dissolution of the existing governmental structure, anything in between or something else entirely, all while also calling for similar (or different) things from the Palestinian side as well, and in no way does holding one or more of those positions mean that one thinks what happened on October 7th or in any previous conflict between those parties is justified.
As an American, my opinions are obviously biased by our history of doing fucked up things to people that don’t look like those in power, and having participated in society for the last few decades drives home the importance of not including every citizen when condemning the actions of leadership.
What’s happening over there is wrong and it needs to stop, and an international coalition needs to be in charge of investigating everything that has happened and punishing the wrongdoers. Pretend I’m on whatever side you want, that’s what needs to happen.
I don’t want my English muffins sliced at all, personally, and I agree about freshly sliced bread…
…but…
In the US, pre-sliced bagels are the worst. They’re the fucking worst! In a package of 6 bagels, at least 4 will not be sliced in the middle, so you get one “half” with 75% of the bagel, and the other “half” just disintegrates. Of the ones that are sliced in the middle, they leave a line of uncut area for godknowswhy and trying to tear it apart usually fucks up one of the halves.
One shouldn’t have to pull out a sharp knife to open a pre-sliced bagel!
And don’t even get me started on toasters with a bagel function…
It all goes to spam now, but for about a month (I think) after unsubscribing the final time I had 8-10 squeak through every week.
I just checked my junk folder, and I’ve had 21 emails from them, despite being blocked and having unsubscribed, since the 1st of August.
Also, if anyone reading this is or knows a US Military veteran, PLEASE tell them to not sign up for Together We Served. It’s supposed to be like Facebook for veterans, but it sucks. The thing is, I tried their “premium” service and later could not cancel (I had to have my bank block their charges and get a new card) AND I get just as many or more emails from them too. They’ve gone to my junk folder for so long I’d completely forgot about it. Seriously, that site should not be allowed to operate like that, and it was even pushed to us in official Veterans Affairs emails.
I can tell when I’m being flirted with for the most part, but I can’t tell whether it’s flirting for fun, or they’re genuinely interested.
Zenni eyeglasses. They’re great.
I’ve never had two pawpaws that tasted alike, and it’s the best part. Everything from banana through apple to peach and mango… so good.
Damn, that sucks. I haven’t watched any of their shit in several years, now I wish I had. All the best to the team in the future.
Remember on TNG when Data got his emotion chip? This could get hairy…
I love how there’s a cop posing with it as though it was a big bust instead of some random turning in what they found.
I see your point, but I don’t fully spider where you’re getting your spider spider.
And they click real loud when they want to.
If they’ve already been buying trusted brands on Amazon, I could see them also trying something new…
Not really. Specifying “British” and nothing else suggests she’s willing to respond to American propaganda outlets (well, “she” as part of the campaign.) Also, the other dodge (that Kari went to the store but doesn’t own it) doesn’t in any way diminish the fact that she still gave the speech in front of the flag. If she didn’t want that image, she could have asked for it to be taken down or gone somewhere else.
I’ve had a complicated relationship with cannabis my whole life. When I was younger, every time I tried it, I didn’t care for it. Then I started hearing about medical use, and I thought it was just an excuse to get high (which I was 100% in favor of, I’ve never been a Prohibitionist). Then came my injury. I tried again and still didn’t like it, nor did it seem to help.
Years go by, and a friend brought me some edibles from CO after they legalized it, and I found at a low dose, I could get significant pain relief with little to no high, and I’ve been a daily user since then. After a while, I learned to appreciate the feeling, so I indulge in it occasionally as well.
But Trump seems to think he found an airtight defense for his Michigan visit. When a reporter on Tuesday asked about his response to criticism over his visit, he responded with a question of his own: “Who was here in 2021?” The answer he was fishing for — and received — was “Joe Biden.”
Of course, the big difference is that the president wasn’t visiting right after racists praised him and Hitler simultaneously.
Any excuse to sit in a big truck and be a big boy.
