My takes is even if Google Search engine is better most people won't bother to change the default Apple SE and Google knows that. Apple user who tend to be more wealthy are worth the cost.

Great read, my only problem with publishing content on own domain is it gives power to those who can afford to pay for website and hosting. Internet should be democratic, and only way to do that is to make it accessible, but I also want to see more people owning their creation.

Google isn't paying that $26 B cause it want to, but because it knows Microsoft isn't going to pay that much.

No, I don't think so, two different price because AppStore and PlayStore take cut around 30% when you purchase through them. Meta is passing Apple and Google tax to costumers if they choose.

I would argue meta is the only way mainstream content creator are willing to join fediverse, It won't be the worst thing to have more options, especially when feed curation in on our hand.

Refind is great for finding quality reading content, free highlight and annotation was plus over the pocket for me.

One reason is because Apple and Google make canceling monthly renewal easy, but mostly because people aren't aware they can get better deal in web. It against Apple and Google ToS for an app to redirect their user to website for payment.

So now I can put my ex photo up and prove that bitch is really from hell

major percentage of these losses can be attributed to the outrageous expenses of training language models.

Those cost seems to be developmental and not operational, after they reach AGI I assume it will go down

Same here, but you still need to manually sync repos and click install, right?

Not really, most authoritative countries tend to censor or throttle connection by odering their ISP. Google most did it because it could get bad PR for allowing app hosting hamas content other social medial are self regulating
