I need this poster or canvas printed so I can hang it on my office wall...

Requires constitutional amendment. You know what doesn't? Getting rid of the Reapportionment Act. Expanding the House by a considerable margin will bring back a more fair EC.

My favorite is how they claim that PRC doesn't invade anyone, ignorant of their attempts in Korea (Korean War) and Vietnam (after the Americans left).

Short answer is "likely".

If you work in a field with sensitive data (financial, healthcare, technology, politics) you don't get a phone designed by a China-government owned company.

Do some reading on why Biden can't get rid of him. It'll make you smarter, I promise.

Makes sense. Downtowns are commercial districts with few, if any, residential buildings. Restaurants exist there to feed the various workers. Workers will shop after work or bring family/friends/dates to the area because it's something they know or are familiar with.

With WFH, no one has a reason to go to downtown. Cost of living increases already make them think twice about doing so.

All in all, we're seeing a shift from specifically zoned districts to mixed use downtowns. This means smaller stores, more walkable or mass transit focus. These cities will just need to incentivize conversion of these downtowns to include more residential structures.

She's trying to position herself for Vice President candidate since it's becoming clear she can't win the primary.

I mean, with Trump it's more like 'They'.

It's no different than subscribing to twitch/YouTube creators. The content is just different. There are plenty of people with unhealthy obsessions that aren't related to porn.

So they could just time the announcements after their scheduled sell-off?

I had to stop reading the article here:

"There is nothing in Senators Johnson and Grassley’s reports on Biden family corruption that has ever proven to be untrue,” the spokesperson said. “

This is the kind of nonsense we have to legitimately call out. The accusations need to be proven true in the first place. The spokesperson is especially silly since they also called Parnas statements a lie... Without providing proof themselves.

If they're still voting for him, being non preferred isn't exactly a damning opinion.

Plenty of people obviously care. The Pope influences the lives of hundreds of millions directly and indirectly. Especially, people in power who have the ability to enact religiou -based laws that affect everything

I figured as much. Without an open and easy to advertise platform to rent out spaces, people are going back to how it used to be...

It's an alarmist article. Much ado about nothing.

That's currently what I'm seeing in terms of style these days. The prevalence of body positivity has allowed people to wear things that flatter themselves. There will always be the crowd that tries something new, but no one is going to be shunned for trying something that works or is comfortable.

Yep. The winning strategy has been shown by democratic wins in purple states last November. Virginia was a very even race and the Dems took back the legislature without even mentioning threat to Democracy. The issues matter and the GOP has provided more than enough ammunition to point out why they're the wrong choice for those issues.

You don't need to be nuanced about it. MAGA extremists have actually killed people on American (and Canadian) soil, planned bombings, and attempted to overthrow the government.

How is Trump who supports genocide abroad AND at home better?

Me, too. I know from the outside it feels like America doesn't make progress. But on a local level, many cities and counties are making strides. I know the areas near me are trying to be cost efficient with public transport, but I also live close to DC. It's kinda the thing here.

Right... like Hong Kong is "self-ruled". We all know how that played out.

For almost 20 years, Google's phones have been pretty friendly to ROM flashing. I suspect that so long as Apple and Samsung have such a large market share, that will continue.

EDIT: 15, not 20

Why would you think your Presidential vote doesn't matter because you're rural? It's a popular statewide election. It certainly does matter.

Lots of Chinese seem themselves as white. And plenty of Asians consider lighter skin to mean wealth and upper class.

Imagine if more people knew this. They only saw "Biden bad for unions" and parrot the line while it's more "Biden administration weighs the challenges of a strike that would hurt common people, finds alternate path to satisfy all parties."

Yeah but how many have mandated RTO hours? I know Amazon is demanding two-hour minimums for their office workers. A far cry from fulltime but not exactly commuter friendly.

I have. I've lived in HOAs where utilities, gardening/lawn care, parking lot upkeep, trash/recycling, community center, were taken care of by the HOA.

You only hear about bad HOAs because people in those HOAs only care about property values from aesthetics. In reality, a good HOA is like a properly run union - taking care of its members by providing cheaper, common services via collective bargaining.

Most of the tax goes to Healthcare and Social Security, 45% of the budget. Defense is 13%.

Japan's economy is only going to get worse. I don't think they've resolved their population decline and aging demographics.

So I see where you're coming from. If your group of friends can collectively address all your needs, you would really feel like you don't need a romantic partner. And maybe you don't, which is perfectly fine.

I don't know where you are in your life. Personally, I'm in my 30s, and I've had close friends that have come and go. I grew up with making and losing friends constantly like any kid who had a military parent. All of this is to provide a bit perspective for when I say that (at least in my experience) friends don't stay. There isn't a reason for them to put you first in their lives. As they get more involved in new or existing relationships of their own, romantic or otherwise, there will be drifting and shifting of priorities. And unless you're really good at making friends, it gets harder to make friends as you get older.

A romantic partner is supposed to put you first on that list of social priorities and for a very long time. And it's that feeling of counting on someone to be there for you when you need it that provides a sense of safety and comfort when your overall social network changes.

Pretty sure it's countries, at this point.

I think that's why he switched. If he runs again, he loses the D next to his name on the ballot, thereby convincing his constituents he's not a Democrat in the vilified label that the Conservatives throw around, especially in a state as red as West Virginia.

It may actually get him to be re elected, allowing him to caucus with the Democrats without being seen as one.

In September of 2023, I was prepared to vote blue in my State of Virginia, where we had a Red governor, a Blue Senate, and a Red House with the legislature seats all up for grabs. Now the legislative branch is Blue and the Governor is kept firmly in check and unlikely to run for President any longer.

And I never acknowledged Biden supported genocide; merely pointing out your fallacy in supporting actual genocide. In fact, the actions of the Biden administration to Palestinians in the US is contrary to your claims of the administration supporting genocide: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-protects-palestinian-immigrants-in-u-s-from-deportation-israel-hamas-war/

Firefox. Not chromium, but everything else is there.

Yeah but Biden and the Democrats haven't done enough. We should not vote so that all others suffer my spite. /s

Every single port, cable, switch and router between your fiber ONT to your laptop has to support that bandwidth. What model is your laptop? What model is your router?

When you say directly connect to the router, are you physically right next to the router testing the speed? Or are you plugging your laptop into ports installed throughout your home?

"abuses... during the Civil War and the Reconstruction", as if there wasn't a bunch of states that not only rebelled, but refused to enforce Federal law after the civil war.
