Sloppy steaks at Truffoni's. Big rare cut of meat with water dumped all over it, water splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun. After the club go to Truffoni's for sloppy steaks. They'd say; 'no sloppy steaks' but they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water, before you knew it we were dumping that water on those steaks! For me it's less a case of 'I need this ambient music to fall asleep', and more a case of 'I enjoy listening to this ambient music and also I can fall asleep to it'.
It's changed a bit for me now, but when I was a teen I used to just whack on whatever I was listening to/enjoying at the time to fall asleep to, be it ambient, death metal, jazz, classical etc.
And as far as listening to people talking goes, that's nowhere near a 'this generation' thing. The sound of quiet voices murmuring on is just a naturally relaxing thing, think of a parent talking to their baby to get them to go to sleep.
Well the actor/ess thing refers to the actual genders of the people involved, not some randomly assigned gender to an inanimate object. The ship thing fair enough, but we don't have different articles just for ships.
There's nothing stopping you still! I find the ritual of placing the disc and needle and turning it over halfway through is quite satisfying.
