Had a teacher tell some students that it's rude to speak a foreign language in school (an international school)

This team surprises me every time😁

I'll be honest I think alienating people feeling in the middle is a bad idea, making an echo chainber is ehat those other websites are for, and people on the middle ground are the ones whose beliefs matter the most as they they are the only ones that will change things.

My great/granddad/uncle's woodworking tools and hammer. For my 17th birthday he just gave me a ton of them and I couldn't have been happier, they're made of really nice brass and spruce I think and they work wonders. Mfer says it's not worth much and proceeded to give me a tungsten carbide (world's sharpest alloy) plane that I maintain to this day. Also Beaver craft tools from Ukraine hold up pretty well and funnily enough come with a plaster because they're goofy goobers.

I'm pretty sure for the subject you just put "mathematics" or "chemistry" that's what I did and I hope I didn't mess it up

Most of genz get it pretty intuitively because they grow up with Google searching. I didn't realise until recently how much more important it is you understand the answers than find them especially if you're getting a niche error.

काश यह सच होता 😭 Nah I'm from the UK and the test is really strange and involves a lot of stuff important to my parents and laws in parts of the country I've never been to so pretty much studying is mandatory.

Yeah sorry i just pasted it from my phone i didn't realise it wasn't the proper link

I found people online saying it's because it's 24 frames (standard frame rate) higher than 120 meaning it can be used to watch movies using integer scaling (1:6 ratio of frame rate rather than 1:5.5 or something strange), take that with a massive grain of salt though because lots of people say there's other reasons.

That's not what I'm talking about and yeah there's no middle ground on the fact trans people should have human rights. I'm not sure how to put this into words but pretty much if you live in a place where you can't see trans people around you (as in trans people not being allowed to be free and safe in public) it's hard for people to just get a grasp on "this person exists and is trans and is a person" thats the big milestone. Getting people recognised as people. A while before i dated her i didn't understand how to feel comfortable with the idea (much of it was through fun memes supporting trans stuff in non-toxic ways). But my point is that showing that trans people exist and are normal is really important for the world right now, we need the people in the middle ground to know that your rights are being violated and something needs to be done because the middle does change that vote the most.

Yeah, it almost looks like you'd be able to run things faster than natively on windows, which is why I'm suspicious (not that it's a lie just that the numbers lack context). It doesn't say what the numbers represent I think?

My Rx 580 is by far the best thing I could've possibly bought when I did, 8gb vram and I bought it for less than I could sell it for now, and I bought it right before the semiconductor shortage so it was hella cheap and I still use it 6 years later.

They keep lobsters alive right before eating them right? Couldn't it just have escaped from whatever cargo it was being transported in or some restaurant? Still unreal 😮

I got given an iPhone, owning a branded product isn't as much of a choice as you'd think. And it really doesn't change anything for you since you'd have to actively go out of your way normally to use a 3rd party app store. The walled garden is still there unless you go exploring.

/j?

😭

This is actually a really interesting question, personally never. Not like heat death of the universe never but I don't feel like there's a point in theoretical forever young immortality where I would want to die, there's always more shit to do and I've never felt like I need to up my game or something. I'm curious what you guys think though

It explodes yeah but it's more like a radioactive flashbang than a nuclear bomb, there's a great video online explaining how they had to coordinate chemical explosives and concave lenses to properly aggravate the uranium.

Representative of our population demographics

Happened to me once so I guess it's not as weird as I thought.

Cleo Abrams did a good video on that and her conclusion is that if the stuff does work it's not some magic reversal or absolute no aging ever technology, I think we've got a whole world away before we can get no aging. Adding a few years to someone's life or more realistically preventing diseases due to faulty organs is something we can all benefit from. I don't even know if this stuff will be done during my lifetime but I can hope that the next generation won't have to watch themselves break down slowly.

I think mandatory care is the way to go, if the government knows that you have an addiction it seems silly to do anything but make sure you have the tools to quit and have no option but to quit. People will do whatever is convenient, path of least resistance and all, there's just no incentive for an addict to report themselves if they're gonna be thrown in prison for it.

No it adds variety to the look of writing, each character is a syllable not a single sound (mostly) so they use fewer characters for per syllable, having two syllabary systems means that there's more visual distinctness per word. I'm not a Japanese speaker so don't take my word for it, but no they're very much not stupid it's a clever system and one that's related to the history and culture of Japan.

What annoys me more is that they're British (/j). But nah they're hardly foreign it's just like their grandad or great grandad, you could make an equal claim that trump is German I think (off the top of my head).

I'm sure that takes a lot of patience and understanding, that's super cool of you.

That's a really good point and not something i thought of but with https doesn't the server still have the ability to trace users via their IP and could be asked by governments for information? I guess tor is already good enough tor that though

I'd recommend doing it with a game you're somewhat familiar with then, like Minecraft where the names are always there but not 100% required for playing

I really get it man, I was originally not gonna take the offer (it was a take it or leave it, not a situation I could sell it) since I love all the open systems android uses. Unfortunately, I've been buying androids for the vast majority of my life and they just haven't been that usable for me. It's not like I'm giving money to apple anyway since I'm not buying anything from them and I would really benefit from 3rd party apps since I used to use them on a daily basis on my android.

Me neither to be honest, 24 is kind of a weird number when added up.

Even my dad couldn't convince me to read snowcrash😅 but maybe I'll find it as an ebook

pirate bay is alright, I managed to find metástasis on there a while ago but if you're looking for something in English 1337x.to is probably your best bet.

Queen is pretty banging ngl tho

¡Sitelen sina li Ike la ona li pona tawa mi!

Yeah you're marked on how focused the essay is. Also since they've already submitted the essay this is just to help it be found so it has to have the same title

I love that English has a way of marking nouns/verbs in a sentence but I hate that when written it's completely erased (although sometimes a comma can help) "The old man the ship" threw me for like 5 minutes before I realised that man can be a verb.

NGL green lantern the movie kinda slapped when I was a kid. I got really into comics partially because of it.
