$999
I have no use for a HR smart watch but at this price it's not even a possibility. Hundreds of dollars is acceptable but this is a hard no for me. My Casio G-Shock GBD 200 + GadgetBridge has all the features I want from a smart watch and costs about $150.
However, I will say kudos to Masimo for sticking it to Apple. Not many people can go against a giant like that and win.

Piracy is a service problem.

Yes but also it is increasingly becoming a price problem

Carlson gave Putin a platform. I see a trend forming.

If recent memory serves, the answer is rage for a few days then back to life as usual.

Adding to this. The judge said "It engenders the same fear that January 6 does." So if this crime is just as bad Jan 6, shouldn't he be getting the same punishment as other Jan 6 traitors. Like you said, a shorter sentence. Not saying I agree with the judge but pick a side.

Fines should be paid directly to the workers that had to work under these conditions. They should also be paid in multiples of yearly salary, it's a trillion dollar company. The company pays more as a consequence and those that suffered get compensation. Maybe also a percentage should go to the agency (not Amazon related) overseeing this kind of thing like the NLRB.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. They will just change the laws to make it illegal and sue you/us.

As a user of software, I salute you.

I honestly assumed the number/percentage was higher

Seriously. I was confused at first. Nobody talks about him like that. So refreshing.

The answer is yes. That's why PACs exist. You are not donating to the candidates. You are donating to an organization that promotes the candidate.

You forgot to add "where they get all the profits." It's the exact same play that big oil used to slow down the roll out of renewables and EVs.

"Not like that"

Guns + ski mask + Hawaiin shirt = acceptable
Blue hair + medical mask + no guns = illegal
It's just "common sense" people. Use your best judgement officers.

$87 for grocery used to get you gourmet organic foods. In 2024 you get uncrustables. I hate this timeline.

I'm no scholar but maybe guiding a mob to disrupt an official proceeding with the threat of murder by gallows that were setup by a makeshift militia qualifies as an insurrection.

What's next onlyfans patreon and twitter? Paying for porn is a common use on these platforms. Maybe visa/mc too for processing the payments? This is all really stupid. Being free is starting to sound expensive.

The hell they can't

I think that's the point. Slowly start flipping as many seats of power to those that will support the next coup attempt. Start with the lower positions that nobody recognizes and work your way up from there. Isn't that the whole point of project 2025.

Hypothetically speaking, let's say Biden publicly assassinates Trump. Takes credit for it and everything. Does that mean that the court would be forced to decide on presidential immunity thus fast tracking the decision that presidents are in fact NOT kings. Who cares about the failed usurper when we have a full blown king slayer to punish.

The conservatives on the Supreme Court wouldn't allow a Democrat to get away with this blatantly illegal act. So if we force their hand maybe things play out differently. Presidential immunity should have limits and not allow free reign while in office.

The whole premise of presidential immunity seems purpose built for the next round of fascist/authoritarian candidates. With that in mind, Trump feels like the beta test finding where the road blocks are and taking them down before the real danger starts. Realistically, Trump isn't smart enough to do any real damage by himself. The biggest danger was always the people he surrounded himself with.

I don't think I've ever seen Biden on a flag, but he will occasionally appear on Trump flags. I have seen plenty of bad Trump photoshops on flags. Never heard of a Biden rally. I haven't seen people ugly-cry while praying that Biden wins. Biden supporters don't run cars off the road simply because they are affiliated with the opposition. I haven't heard anybody refer to Biden as "God's candidate."

Did you hear that Republicans? You guys got this election in the bag. Don't bother going out to vote because you are guaranteed to win. All these polls keep coming out that Trump is in the lead so just let democracy do it's thing.

I'd love to "bother" but do you have any suggestions? The French method ain't what it used to. The people need direction and I'm not talking about politicians. Everytime one pops up they get disappeared. The powers that be have gotten very good at keeping the status quo. So until that changes, yeah complacency it is.

Can I/you pay the models on OnlyFans to have sex with them? No.

Then it's not prostitution. Porn stars are not prostitutes either. Sex work doesn't make you a prostitute. That's a very specific line of work and this ain't it.

Hiring implies getting paid.

64,000 and counting as of last month

The FCC and the government at large isn't to blame for this one. The ISPs collected the governments money to run high speed Internet to the rural parts of this country. Blame your ISP for not using the funds as intended. Maybe also blame the government for not holding them accountable for not delivering.

You just gotta let the sink in or something

Gaming has had subscription since at least the early 2000's. WoW, XBL and Eve are some examples off the top of my head. Some even required the purchase of additional hardware like the PS2 network adapter. Anybody remember Final Fantasy XI or the now defunct Matrix MMO?

Today every console has some form of online subscription. If anything, gamers normalized the online subscription model.

You kinda didn't though? The age limit is 81. Retirement is 65. 16 years. That's someones childhood. That's longer than some peoples careers. Gotta start somewhere I guess. Impressed it happened, disappointed at the fine print. Nice headline though.

Florida man articles make more sense if you remember this fact

I agree but the average person doesn't even know what that means.
