Thank you to Apollo, Gavin Nelson and Matthew Skiles for the beautiful avatar and banner pictures.

You mean to tell me you thought there would be boobs in movie about a children’s toy?

Get a bot to do it for you, I heard that they are now better than humans at solving them.

Thanks for all of your effort. Even though we are on different instances, it’s important for the Fediverse community that you succeed. You are doing valuable work, and I appreciate it.

Maybe awarding a pro Lemmy post would be more useful.

The admin was saying there is plenty of capacity and was encouraging more people to join recently. Hopefully that’s still the case.

Just switch out to the sheep. Can always switch back later. You deserve it.

Call Me Maybe, such a banger

Side note: if you’re doing it for privacy reasons, I was reading that self hosting for just yourself will allow people to see what communities you subscribe to, based on what communities are visible on your server.

Too fat, belly cold.

Here’s the poll source, for the lazy, like me: https://www.androidauthority.com/reddit-alternatives-lemmy-3335429/

Excellent. John would be proud.

I love this response.

Wow, that’s an impressive list! Did you meet them through work? What sort of work do you do?

Well put!

This one hurts. I’m sorry, friend.

I have never upgraded every year, I used to every two years, then three. Now I’ve had my iPhone 11 for almost four years, and I’m planning to keep it for 5. It will probably still get new OS updates for another 1 year after that (total of 6).

There is no reason to update your phone every year.

I think yes, let’s make a new culture of restrained emoji use 🙌

Nice! Do you have a link or model?

Taking a cat bowl full of water back to its spot on the floor. I remember I am the water, and it gets delivered without spilling.

Unpopular opinion but, Avatar 2: The Way of Water. While it was mostly visually stunning, the writing was just “too painful”.

“…Don’t worry it’s just a name”

Attacking by monkeys

“He said it was just a name?!”

“What he meant was monkey attack island is actually a peninsular.”

It’s not very open-sourcey, but Apple include a email forwarding service called Hide My Email in their iCloud+ plans. So, you may already have access to that service.

Rats?! I’m outraged, you promised me dog or higher!

It’s not so much your smartphone tracking you, but the ability of someone to send you a text and get your location.

It’s a niche, rather than general technology, but the Internet of Things Podcast - Stacey on IoT is always professional. It’s hosted by Stacey Higginbothem and it’s refreshing to have womens perspective in a heavily male dominated industry.

Interesting to hear of a shared hallucinations. Were either of you under the influence, or (feel free not to answer) have any serious mental health disorders that could explain it?

Agreed. Anything that pops up in front of the content I want to see, can fuck off!

I’m excited for the rapid development of apps for Lemmy. I’m on iOS and have been checking out Voyager (Wefwef), Avelon, Memmy, Mlem and Thunder, and they are all smashing it!

Not to worry, the era ended 22 years ago.

I agree that original content is the cream we need, but we shouldn’t throw out the rest of the milk while we’re still hungry (for content).

You guys warm my heart. Lemmy is the kind Reddit.
