Honestly? Mcdonalds. They're (reasonably) cheap, pretty consistent, and still decent enough that I think "Yeah, I didn't mind spending two bucks on that."

Like it's not the best food ever or anything, but if I ever want a super quick breakfast or kinda crappy burger and don't feel like making one myself, then I just hit up the nearest Mcdonalds.

I think Bowser's a little busy being the president of Nintendo of America.

Yep, they're gonna ignore this study and all this research just like the rest of it. :(

Arby's curly fries are peak fast food fries.

oh my god, UO was my fucking JAM; super psyched to give this a shot.

Ayyy, sleep deprivation buddy! I've been up since 5 AM and feel like absolute death. :)

Oh my god, this one hits hard. The smell of bacon being fried in a skillet STILL gives me memories of when dad would fix some because he was up super early and needed something to do.

A friend once turned me on to peanut butter and tuna sandwiches.

I... do not know why I thought that was good at one point, now that I think about it.

My only piece of advice would, if possible, be dyeing your beard blue as well for that sweet coordination bonus.

But yeah, the dark blue looks good! As someone who also has dark hair and experimented with dyes in the past, I hope your journey goes better than mine ever did.

Ayyyy, fellow Jets enjoyer!

EXACTLY! Like, man, if I wanted a good breakfast sandwich, I'd make it myself or hit up one of the local places. But I don't want a good one, I want a McDonalds one.

God, probably Starcraft? I got it on the supercheap at Walmart a bit after I got my first PC (around 2000 or so).

God, I wish my stomach could handle a heavy, fatty meal in the mornings. That sounds perfect for my own snacking problems.

YEP the mcdonalds app is the second reason i go there; a big-ass coffee on the cheap, which gives me an excuse to get away from the bird-kids when they're being particularly shouty? you bet your bippy im taking that offer

Foreground Eclipse, easily the best screamo (maybe?? i dont know music words) band I've ever listened to. Bands like katikatiyama and Shinigiwa Satellite (some members of which became the aforementioned KKY) fill that void, I'll never get over the sheer mastery of mixing screaming and clean vocals.

Chip and Ironicus in general are just fantastic, especially when it's a REALLY stupid game (in the good way!) like Wonderful 101. Ironicus just losing his shit at this next absurd thing never fails to make me laugh.

Gridders my beloved. This curator on steam might be of use.

Thankfully breaking a bone. The only time I broke one was back in the summer of 1999 on the way out to the car with my family, I think we were headed into town for something when I slipped on our porch and fell weird. As my parents supported me down to the car, out of instinct I put weight on my broken leg.

I can still remember the loss of absolutely everything else, my mind was just flooded with that agony.

I used to like them, but lately I've gravitated to Wendy's fries. It's not even the beef fat/vegetable oil switch that happened back in the 90s??? or whatever, I just think I prefer thicker potato cuts for my fries.

Am I dumb or do external links just link back to the kbin thread?

For context, I've only tried out these links here in this thread.

Man, I completely forgot about the Pizza Hut book club! Getting the little badge and filling everything out with stickers? was the best part of being a kid.

Sexy pictures of John Oliver, of course.

New to all of this, what's a 'tankie'?

I work for a fairly big university and we still ask (or at least we did pre-COVID, when I handled some recruitment stuff). And it has to be, like... two references from two different positions (or classes or whatever)? Again, unless something changed.

References are hard as shit to get ahold of, too. I could pay off all my debts if I had a nickel for every time I had to get recruitment to nab us more refs.

Definitely my slow cooker; I don't have a ton of time to actually cook (three birds who stick to me like glue will do that), so I can just throw some ingredients into the crockpot and have dinner done w/o much effort or having to wrangle the flock out of the kitchen.

God, I wish Noita wasn't so impenetrable for me; from what I've played, it seems like the wackiest shit possible and I do love me some wack. Any recommendations on how to overcome the difficulty curve?

I broke my leg when I was a kid. When my family was helping me to the car, I put weight on that broken leg out of instinct of... y'know, how I'd been walking up 'til that afternoon.

It was like a lightning bolt shot through my leg, mind-numbing amounts of pain.

Not at all the video you're referring to (probably), but my first thought was this wonderful gem.

Definitely travel. It would've been nice to be able to get out of the states for a few weeks before I had all of the responsibilities that come with a full-time job, folks depending on me, a whole-ass flock of birds, etc etc.

My goal is now to (hopefully) travel before I'm 40 (currently 34, 35 in October). I'd like to hit up the UK (I've got a good friend there) and Japan (I'm a huge weeb), if possible.

My advice to the youngins out there: If you've got the means, definitely do a bit of travel between either highschool and college or college and a full-time job.

Wait, Factorio has mods?

Christ, and I thought Rimworld was a giant timesink for me.
