"live, laugh, love"

Small tech can be much nastier as they have less scrutiny on them. Think of all these companies writing spyware for governments/corporations around the world.

because triceratops is too thorny.

ask yourself: is it possible to be anybody else? no? then this saying is non-nonsensical!

which you could get around by using another frontend for youtube or just going with vlc all the way by playing the url in vlc directly.

You are asking the right questions, keep digging deeper! Ban all Karma and abolish all mods and admins!

You got it backwards, big corporations own the government, but not limited to big tech. Oil and gas companies, Telecommunications, transportation, arms, shipping, retail and so forth.

No those seemingly harmless encounters are meant to be small games of chicken. whoever budges and makes way for the other male has just become the submissive male.

[https://www.gnusocial.rocks/](GnuSocial the free software and p2p replacement for twitter)

  • The free software social networking platform.*

Versatile

GNU social supports both single-user and community modes and can be used in an intranet environment or as part of the wider Free Network.

Accessible

Follows AnyBrowser and A11Y guidelines. It runs virtually anywhere you can run a common piece of web software, such as WordPress or Drupal. JavaScript is optional.

Customizable

True to the Unix-philosophy of small programs to do a small job, GNU social can be easily expanded and customized via its simple plugin API.

Privacy focused

GNU social is part of the GNU project, it's 100% free software, with no malicious features or spyware. ___

And it is a false statement:

sometimes you stop looking without finding anything so in those cases it isn't in the last place you look

so the clam "It's always in the last place you look" is obviously false.

otherwise you could say up front "I'm only gonna look in one place!" and then you would HAVE to find it in this last place you look!

what if both parties apply this strategy?

what if the other party reacts with a reboot of their own?

They can reasonably argue that advertising is a requirement of their business model,

Couldn't that claim be countered by pointing out that they already deploy a for pay approach called youtube premium?

How would you describe the microdosing experience, I have heard a lot about it but never tried it myself. Only have done shrooms once.

That there is karma and mods on lemmy. The community should have full control and no mods. Karma should be banned as a way to enforce conformity and a highly toxic.

actually it ought to be:

More holes => more cheese

and subsequently:

More cheese => more cheese.

Tautology at it's best

Remove voting! End this dumb mob mentality!

There are no problems on GNU/Linux only new areas of ignorance coming to your awareness. These are really opportuinities to learn. What you call problems is really some sort of ignorance of the underlying systems. Filling in the blind spot usually resolves the issue. You becoming aware of this is a great opportunity for this to self-correct. Thus you don't have problems on GNU/linux instead you have growing opportunities. And boy oh boy are there lots of them 😃

I think it is similar

NEITHER!

https://twister.net.co/

Use this Free Software Solution instead! this is not only decentralized but it is also Free Software: open source, editable, redistributable with or without changes.

"twister is the fully decentralized P2P microblogging platform leveraging from the free software implementations of Bitcoin and BitTorrent protocols. "

I'm gonna open a place that looks like a movie theater but the seats are more spaced out, and you smoke dmt. You pay like $50 for a ticket and get the most interesting movie experience ever.

Nobody who cannnot take no mom-jokes shoud be trusted with no mod-powers.

What about facebook, disney, netflix, twitter, apple, uber, airbnb?

tbh never looked into snaps flatbacks or appimages. However my instinct as a staunch linux is that anything besides apt-get or apt or aptitude is utter trash. we already have apt, why do people feel the need to divert energies to these unneccessary packagemanagement-fads?

Why would anybody share any such experience just to be declared a lunatic. If anybody had such stories to begin with, they would be best advised not to share them, for fear of being thought insane.

Stop Using Windows And MacOS use GNU/Linux instead -> Problem Solved

There is mods on lemmy? I just found out there is also karma, why are we recreating a toxic authoritarian shit hole but decentralized?
